Don't want to bring the thread down, just found out my younger brother has Hodgkin's Lymphoma, (Lymph cancer) he is only 30. Anyone have any experience with this?

Oh my ... so sorry to hear this ... uncle had non-Hodgkins must be about 10yrs ago. Thankfully after surgery and chemo he recovered.

    Afternoon all

Hope you get your tooth sorted today Czerchy....
Pleases to hear 3Dogs has made it safely. Hope things are not too awful for you.
Tricia....hope you get your housing sorted soon.

Been into Totnes this morning and found some brilliant deals on hair dyes....(or is it just me and Nikki that do our own?!!)
Superdrug have their own 10 minute one (colour radiance 10) on offer at £4.99 BOGOF
They had several shades though that were reduced to £2.49 BOGOF
I also picked up a semi permanent Garnier Herbashine which was SEL 49p but scanned at 10p
These were just the brunette shades....there were other really cheap ones if you are blonde.

I ended up with 7 hair colours for £7.57

Also if you complete a short online survey it gives you a code for 25% any Superdrug own brands when you next shop in store

I don't dye my hair its still brunette with lightish brown bits. When sun shines on it folk are forever asking if i have streaks in it :D i don't think they believe me when i say no, but it's true i have no need for dye. :)
  • my loo rolls have just arrived. my son was all excited and begged to open the box, thinking it was something exciting. he then said "its ONLY bog rolls, what do we need bog rolls for?"
uhmm son to wipe your bottom?:rotfl:
life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.

Tiny it's worked, I'm a happy bunny again;)just a bit sore where they injected it:(It wasnt Turners Road was it?

:T:T:T:T:T Yes one of them was a Turners road merlot. Still have a chardonnay left. :D

So pleased for you that the treatment is working. Had the same as you years ago but unfortunately for me did not work and was diagnosed with osteoarthritis at what I felt was a young age. Lots of referred pain to my elbow when actually problem was wrist. Been quite good last few years but this cold weather lately it is playing up again and think being on here so much probably does not help. :rotfl:

I'm not sure, I did mine with TCB a few weeks ago and got back £80:T:T:T:Tand they phoned me last week to ask if I wanted to get multicar on it but I think you'd probably only get it on the firstcar, but I could be wrong.

Thanks Nikkilala this one is £80 cash back maybe hoping for £160 is just greedy:D

Managed the jump start without incident, I'm so relieved but when I turned it off it was flat again. At least the jump leads didn't smoke today but I did get a new set at Argos. So thanks for the positive vibes which we can now switch to those more needy.

Thats cool I thought it probably would so tomorrow I can calmly do it again either take it for a spin up the M40 or get it to limp into the driveway, its a very old Fiesta I was given, I'm trying to get it out of the street onto the driveway so it looks as thought we're at home when we go away & the other car is parked at Gatwick for a week.

Ridiculous story of "progress" on a similar vein to travel agents if I have time later, this time Banking :rotfl:

:j:j:j:j Phew glad you got it started without any more smoking. ;)

You've done well:T:T:T Turners road was nearly a year ago, such a favourite on DTD, many a drunken evening on the thread with that:owouldnt like to think how many bottles got opened between mse;)
That's what I'm worried about with my elbow too, this was the 3rd steroid and they only work for a little while and am really worried the scan could show osteoarthritis. Got that in one knee and hate the cold weather with it:(If the scan shows what I want to show they will operate which will be great, not great for an op but great that it could fix it:)
