And Comet are closing their call centre in bristol
They made 400plus staff redundant last week from repair centre and are using an outside company for all repairs.
As for currys, they price match their own website. Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -

Opticians can't survive on the cost of eye tests alone so when they are all gone and we only have optician superstores left what will happen? The prices will go through the roof.
Anyway, rant over and I'm sorry Fudge_Cake - I know you meant no harm.
Thats why my opticians charge extra for the contact test if you aren't signing up for the 3monthly option, I'm happy to pay that, sadly commerce has got in the way of service especially from supermarkets and we will lose our nice shops.
I was asking in there the other day about varifocal contact lenses and as I don't need glasses for reading the assistant suggested I just get a cheap pair of reading glasses from a pound shop to put over my contacts when I have to read something to correct the prescription.0 -

Looking forward to that. I've got fairly catholic tastes in music but am predominantly an old folkie (and not an old fogie please before anyone is tempted:rotfl:) Like both american and british stuff. Although I've got a bluegrass banjo and do the occasional amateurish tinkling my forte is Irish style tenor banjo:)Awaiting a new sig0 -

It used to be 100per cent success to me,going to tesco and bringing bags of free stuff everyday. I have been to 3 tesco during past few days and brought back nothing, big fat nothing.:eek:
Does anyone else feel like that?
Yep! Did my weekly shop today and ame away with no 1p items, no glitches, nuffin! Paid normal T's price for everything - obviously got multibuys etc, but nothing to make me feel pleased with myself as I walked out of the store.0 -

Sorry ran off to spend my £5 off £40 before closing time at 4pm. Was thrown completely off track as they didn't have the Fairy platinum tabs I wanted
booo! So instead I bought a camera for £100 and a tub of ice cream to keep me company tonight
(Kelly's cornish clotted cream 1l is allegedly half price?! at £2  1 LITRE! But in my store there was only one left on the shelf and it was also 100% extra free
) So I used my voucher, got another one back which I will hopefully do the shop that I'd planned with and also a 10p fuel voucher :T
Too bad my sister didn't want that camera after all!HappyChappy84 wrote: »I did some research on this and the general consensus was that http://www.retaileyes.co.uk/ is one of the best.ChelseaGirl wrote: »I've been a mystery shopper for about 16 years. Never mystery shopped in T's - mainly do auditing and merchandising there.
Shopper fees have really dropped lately, so only really good for a free meal (usually fast food), or coffee. There are still a few decent paying jobs around.
On the 'up your income' board, there's a sub-board about mystery shopping. It tells you who all the genuine MS companies are as there are alot of scam ones out there. Never pay to become a mystery shopper, even with the promise of lots of assignments. x
Agree with all the above regarding mystery shopping. I'm registered to several, retail eyes, grass roots and GAPbuster. The only one I've ever done assignments for those is retail eyes and they're so thin on the ground lately, I haven't seen one close enough to make it worthwhile in months! I've only done a couple at local restaurants/Maccie D's and as ChelseaGirl said, it's mainly just a way of getting a free meal nowadays, but hey, free's free right?!:j
