I can highly recommend Canada, particularly the drive between Calgary (being greeted off the plane by a cow girl dressed in all the gear was something else) and Vancouver. Sis and I went off the main highway and sauntered along at 40mph taking in the views, stopping occasionally [STRIKE]to take pics[/STRIKE] to let the smell out the car from my sisters farts.:o
Out of all the places I've been there aren't many places I'd like to go back too but if I could I'd be on the next flight to Canada.
Oh, Happy - just catching up and got to your post re Canada and have to say that I so agree. I love love love the place and your post took me back to a wonderful holiday I had there - the highlight for me was a helicopter flight through the Rockies. I do love USA but found the people so nice in Canada - I would love to go back. Happy days ahhhh:):):)0 -

A couple of years ago got invited to an army reunion in Banff and after 10 wonderful days both me and the wife said that if there is one place we would like to retire to it would be Banff0 -

The cakes that all are making, do look rather good! Yes, to get a flat top, you need to hollow the mixture before baking it.
Have good days everyoneThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -

Awww - Another trip down memory lane - I have been to those places as well and have to agree with you on all counts. One other magical moment was standing with my friends on the ice field parkway on what looked like a huge sapphire (the water is glacial and when it freezes it looks blue) having had a ride in one of those vehicles with tracks (sorry suffering a little from the vino consumed last night and brain won't wake up and tell me what there called) drinking shots of something nice at -30.:):)

How weird (and sad). Woke up to the news that Whitney Houston had died. Me and OH were listening to her album last night discussing why her comeback didn't really live up to expectations. The public didn't seem to embrace her reappearance. She was great on x factor when she launched her comeback song.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
