I bought some ham which was not reduced but was displayed in an end of aisle offer fridge between 2 similar packs which were on offer. I genuinely thought it was reduced when I bought it. When I accompanied CS to the fridge I was surprised to be told that 'some t**t has put them in the wrong place!" CS was maybe about 60 and I thought she probably didnt know what it meant so I didn't comment. I'm thinking now that maybe I should have acted all offended. What do you think?
Depends where you live. Everyone I knew when I was wee thought that word was on a par with plonker, eejit, silly-billy (very mild in other words, we used it in the playground and no one was upset (and you went to the head for bl**dy!). Internet has changed things, I don't think you get these local variations in the same way now.0 -
Morning all, another few days I've missed
I'm really ill blurghhhhh!!So sick of being sick atm, terribly frustrating and I keep missing out on all the things I want/need to be doing! Spent the entire day in bed yesterday just waiting for the time to pass so that I'd hopefully feel much better today!! Still feeling very weak, think the fact I didn't eat anything yesterday hasn't helped as I'm terribly shaky but atleast I'm a little better
Can't lie down anymore because it's causing me headaches, so good excuse to catch up
Think it must be a bug! Hopefully a 48 hour one!
Anyway enough about me, how are we all? Please can someone let me know what I've missed?
I will read back before I start asking about how individuals are getting along
Still thinking of fudge2's and Snap-ant's fathers, bensonsmum's FIL, Mr 3Dogs (and you too Mrs 3Dogs) blondynurse, czerzy and just about everyone else:A
My sincere thanks to lutzi1 once again, the peppermint oil is fantastic and was a godsend yesterday!!
Off to catch up :Axxxxx'There are people who have money and people who are rich' :heart2: Coco Chanel0 -

I soo can't stand pain, I can't magine giving birth to a baby! It's probably what puts me off most!
Childbirth is easy. You have drugs on tapAnd what would madam like today? Some gas & air - makes you feel drunk but the spaced out effect is fab. How's about an epidural - you won't feel a thing but we'll probably have to put you on a drip. How's about some remifentanil - great spaced out feeling but it gave me bad shakes when I came off it and I was only using it an hour or so!

Oh I really feel for you. Much though you needed some "me time" your poor kids must be devestated. Any chance you can take them somewhere today and spoil them a little to ease their pain?
Oh and a reminder for those who watch it:
The Walking Dead Season 2 Fri 17 Feb, 10pm - 11pm on FX0 -
Good morning everyone. Hope you're all well. Haven't had the chance to read back cos everyone talks too much!
I'm just trying to sort out my home and contents insurance and it's a nightmare. I've got a ridiculously high renewal notice so it's about time I shopped around I think. Flippin' insurance companies assume that you'll just accept their renewal price without question.
I had to have a go at the AA recently cos they sent me my breakdown cover renewal and it had gone up even though I hadn't claimed. I checked online as though I was a new customer, and the premium was far lower, so I called and got them to refund the 'overcharge'. The same thing happened with my car insurance.
With my home insurance, I'm searching all the price comparisons websites and it's so confusing! I have no idea what to put as a voluntary excess, or what the rebuild value of the property is, not sure what the contents value is - and so it goes on. I don't want to be overinsured but obviously dont want to go for a cheap price and find it hardly covers anything.
DS managed to get permanent marker on my cream carpet a while ago and it's left a mark. Now I'm not sure whether I should claim through my current insurance, or just buy a rug to cover it. I'd hate for my insurance premiums to go sky high because I've made a claim.
Argh! Got brain ache!:o
Sorry for waffling as usual.. xx0 -
