Thats where I go, Mr Marway is lovely & patient with me so I don't need any sedation in fact apart from when I broke a back tooth on a pie ! from Greggs years ago & he put a crown or whatever on it, which is still firmly in place, I don't think I've ever had a filling he certainly doesn't do anything unnecessary.
Its a big practice & its well established
I had a lovely vision then of you both sat there waiting for dentist not knowing you where both mser's0 -

Great finds guys! Were these OOD SEL's or glitches?
Local has a ton of OOD SEL's, all continued offers so far though, with no scanner it's a slow process scanning. SS => Electrical => Chemist. Trying to be descreet..

As far as dentist go, I would say that these are probably the best we have ever come across. When I was pregnant, got an abscess on my tooth, they were fab. I even let them do a route canal filling while I was awake:eek::eek:0 -

SpiralingDown wrote: »DS is 11, the school seem to be taking the same stance as your DSes. Every time I ask them to test him they say there's nothing wrong with him just a firey temper
He goes like this when he's frustrated, he was in a different class last week who have a classroom assistant. They had to draw a parrot, DSes birds always look seriously under fed, anyway the class assistant insisted that he plump the bird out a bit and drew on his page to show him. All hell broke loose because she ruined his picture, he doesn't like anyone doing anything to his work so just about lets his own teacher do it.
The school didn't even tell me as they're supposed to I only found out because DS had big streaks down his face where he'd been wiping the tears away
The school don't seem to want to know, DS was labeled lazy in year 4 by a teacher who didn't like him and it's stuck. I have a meeting on Monday with the school about where he's going next year so will broach the subject again.
DSes spelling has been a problem, linguistic phonics are pointless for him as he doesn't get it. In year 5 I decided to teach him the way I learnt, by writing the words out 3 times, his work improved but the next year the teacher wanted him to learn the way the rest of the class did. His dad died near the end of that year so they put his problems down to that.
The problems are greater when he has to write, if he uses the laptop he's fine because he can check the spelling and if he makes a mistake he can easily change it. His teacher knows this so allows him to do a lot of his work on it and bring it in on a memory stick for her to check.
In the INCAs tests he's 3 years above in maths but 2 yrs behind in english based on his age. He's excellent in oral work according to his teacher but when it comes to written work he gets easily frustrated, they just don't seem to be putting 2 and 2 together. I have been told it's genetic and DH had it so just want to be sure DS is diagnosed if he has it or not before he gets much older.
Dont let it go, take him to gp & ask for him to be referred for a test. Have you thought about moving his school, I know he hasnt got long left there but he could be in a new new school with a new start from easter & you may find that a different school will deal with things differently. I sincerely hope you find the solution, its agonising seeing your own children being failed and so frustrating. Hope things come good with the house, I'm sure that by having your own space will help enormously, how you've kept going through everything is incredible.Mrs_Jagger wrote: »Good Morning!
I found this thread a couple of days ago and am happy to say I have now registered! The reason I was looking for a T thread was because I had an experience in T's P3t3rs F13l), which I wanted to find info about - anyway the MSE search lead me here - perfect
From back-reading (exhausted!!) I now know I was 'trouted'!! I saw the Penguins on offer (and I know this has been on here) and I also saw that there were 9 packs with 100% free = good deal. Picked up enough for the whole school, including one pack of 9 with none free (accidentally). I used the unmanned till and was confused with the prices as the 9+100%free were a different price, despite the price on the shelf saying reduced to £1. The staff member said it was right, so I took them back to my car and looked at the receipt again and knew it wasn't. I went back in and bought two more packs to double check the price was wrong (honestly - totally innocently). Obviously it was, so I went to CS and the woman was quite unpleasant. When she saw the on the shelf, she tried to tell me that they were the neighbouring pack - which was a pack of 27 for £2. Man - she was annoyed I could read the label!:D Anyway, she then said the 9+100% free were different to the 9 pack! I was honestly soooo confused. She said the 9+9free packs were elsewhere in the store so I asked her to show me and tell me the price. She was so obviously not quite telling the truth! Anyway, eventually she said she would refund me the difference as they were in the wrong place and that wasn't my fault. I had been standing at the counter for a long time and by now had read the blue sign and learned the DTD rule! Yippee me though - £6 back, but she offered £3, so I had another long discussion with her. She seemed to think that 9+100% free should be more expensive than a regular 9 pack! Eventually I shut up and said whatever as the queue was building up, so I was surprised that she gave me a £6 refund on my debit card.:) BUT she made me fill in a form with my name and address as if I had returned an item - just wondered if that was normal, and what she would do with my details? (She has my card details and clubcard too). Thank you to all of you who have set this up - it has been a real help to me. Hope to 'talk' again to you soon, and wish you all a safe day in these icey conditions. Mrs Jtold them I did not have receipt
I like your style. :T0 -
