    Just back from my most expensive trip to Mr T's ever, i did really well to start with - took back the food processor that came up as full price and got my £40 back. Looked at the meal deals but my store already has the valentine meal deals on the shelf £15 each :eek::eek::eek:
    Then found a cadbury double decker egg with mug price marked at £3 but went through at £6 - so free :j:j:j

    Thought i would fill my car up using the 10p off a litre voucher filled up then drove down the road a couple of miles and my car not at all well - couldn't even get 5 mph out of it, so pulled over and then had an awful thought - looked at my receipt and i had only gone and put petrol into my diesel car £60 worth :eek::eek::eek: rang OH and he said top up with diesel !! can't its already full to the brim:eek::eek:

    I rang a local garage they came out and got me took me to garage and now have to pay £150 + vat for them to drain it and flush through the system and then they will put £15 worth of diesel back into it for me - going to be approx £200 :eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Days like this i could really cry:mad::mad::mad:

    Oh bensonsmum, that's a real pain !!! Sending hugs. :A

    Oh ... :mad::mad::mad::mad: ... :grouphug:

    OK ... on trying to be positive ... if it wasn't for MrT it'd be coming out of your pocket. Think of £200 ... as 11 £19 JTDs.

    Sorry it's the best I can do at the moment.

    Sorry Bensonsmum, take comfort from the fact that you are not alone.

    What car is it? Don't mean to scare you but some of the modern diesels need new pumps after they've run petrol!!

    Get yourself 2 or 3 of the 25 litre drums from a car wash and clean and dry them out and take them with you and tell them you want the fuel back. You'll be able to use it a gallon at a time per full tank of diesel.

    Another edit..........check with you car insurance as some companies will cover it.

    Citroen czara picasso 02 plate 2l HDi - please don't tell me mine is one of them!!!

    I wish i had thought of that earlier im now back at the house - after a 3 mile walk, gave me time to calm down a bit, but no where near any petrol stations/garages and also have no way of getting them to the garage where i left my car to be fixed but thanks for the idea .

    I would have a look at my insurance docs - but they are in the glove box of my car - so won't know until i get my car back - thank you xx
