OI!!! Dont make me give you my "only" 1lb lecture!! 8.5lbs in 2 weeks is a fab loss and you should be rightly very proud of yourself :j

    I second that, certainly puts my Week 1 - 2lbs and Week 2 0lbs to shame. :o

Evening everyone, internet finally seems to be behaving. Thanks to Wool27 for letting you know I was having trouble. :)

Keep it up Debs, you are doing really well. :T Don't know if you noticed but did not report my non existent weight loss this week. :( At least I did not put any on, think mum's birthday and the home made cake I bought were the culprits. ;)

Thanks, if I'd had some cake then I wouldn't mind! I was just disappointed cos I had worked so hard all week. You don't need to worry about your weight anyway. :)
    Mission accomplished then!

It is hard when you have a huge loss one week and a smaller one the next, but a loss is a loss is a loss.

I'd kill for 8.5lbs in 2 weeks, I cant do that in 12 months

I bet you don't need to loose much either :D

Oh lovely, are they the ones in the little rectangular packs please? (think I may have seen them in £land or similar). Or are they little packs (like tiny crisp packets IYKWIM) with 'loose' sweets in?

yes they are in a yellow outer wrapper, and inside there are 10 little rectangular blocks, with 5 sweets in each block. They are quite sour too ( I like sour sweets tho - tangfastics are for wimps! I give those to my three year old occasionally!)

I found them in the sweets aisle quite close to the tiny haribo packs like you described above.

There was also a SEL for Haribo Stars(?) rtc to 10p from 65p - but I couldn't find any of these ones....
To infinity and beyond - but mostly to Tesco!:D

I assure you I do need to lose a bit, I definitely cover it well. When I see you next I will tell you what my mum said the other day. It was one of those "thanks for that" moments. ;) Hope your mum is better and hope she liked the jewellry you bought her. Any news about the losses? Though I'm sure you would have said if there had of been good news.

Couple of bits of Boots info for you and anyone else who likes to do a bit of Bootsing.

Soap and Glory is on 342 and you can use the 200 points vouchers that came in the xmas gift tins if you spend over £10.

The ACM is giving out free No17 blusher coupons and No17 on 342 so as long as you get 2 cheaper items you pay for only 1. And it works with anything you find on clearance as I did today. Got blusher £3.99 and 2 x nail varnishes £1.50 clearance and paid £1.50 for the 3. :D There were 50p clearance eyeshadows that were bit broken and more nail varnishes left in my town centre store. ;)

And the bad news is I did not use my coupons well, my mailing of 300 points for a £30 spend did not go through as till accepted it as my original spend was over but by the time I used other coupons total was less and did not notice until after that the points had not been added.

Also used a 10% off shower gel voucher that got accepted and gave me a nil discount as it had ended up being one of my free items.

Shame using coupons in Boots does not work the same as using some in Ts. :p

bookworm63: tesco was always taking multibuys into account for dtd/jtd afaik as long as you got required amount of items for the offer to kick in as well in T as in A, it's only linked offers that don't work(like buy crisps, get a free dip or similar) :)

    Hi Czerniacha

The first time I tried price-checking, one of the items I hoped would net me a profit was some multi-packs of tuna. It was the same unit price but was on offer at 2 for £?? at Asda (I bought 2). Tesco matched the product but not the multi-save.

When I checked their T&Cs it says:

This includes price reductions and promotions (such as "half price" and "buy one get one free") but not store or category wide promotions such as “buy 6 bottles of wine and get 5% off” or linksave promotions (such as "buy cheese and get crackers free").

    https://www.tescopricecheck.com/pricecheck/pages/tsandcs.aspx

So I thought it was my error; that they didn't price-match on these multi-saves, until I tried one of the wine receipts when it was 25% off.... but the price check came back comparing at the adjusted prices  Then I noticed today that all my multi-saves had a * and were discounted to the multi-save price.

Does anyone know if other Asda multi-saves have price-checked recently? I suppose it could have been a one-off with the tuna, but their T&Cs led me to believe that they didn't compare these offers :o

Was going to come down on my next set of days off, but i've got a doctors appointment, so hopefully towards the end of the month. I'll let you know for sure, be nice to catch up and have a chat. I hope your mum is doing ok. :)

Mum loved the jewellery I bought, although dad told me off for spending too much! Dad has put an insurance claim in, but he hasn't heard back yet....which he is stressing out about.
I added to his stress on Sunday, as I fell over twice whilst we were clearing the snow from my drive. He was terrified I had broken something, but I have plenty of padding ;)

Thanks for the Boots info, I'll keep a look out. Shame about your coupons, maybe they would add them of you went back in or called HO.
