Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Just had a bit of good news.
I was medically retired from the NHS two years ago but was then turned down flat for my ill health pension.
Well to cut a long story short, I've at last been awarded it at the higher rate as they have finally agreed that what I have (Bilateral Menieres Disease) is incurable and it's very unlikely I'll ever be well enough to have a "proper" job again.
So I have had the lump sum and the backdated pension payments paid into my account today.....and it's for more than I expected....not enough to be life changing, but enough to buy myself to a new (ish) car (not a Merc or BMW though!!)
I've got a fab GP who has supported me in appealing their decision and I'm just wondering if it's OK to send her a little something as a token of appreciation....not money...but something else.
Celebrate can you let me know if this is allowed?
Well done Purdita, patience pays off:T:T:T
Bought some of the colmans season & shake thingies in T's on saturday as their down to 49p and I have so much whoopsied meat and sausages thought it might be something different. Just put some whoopsied sausages in with some whoopsie veg and potatoes and put it all in the bag ready for DS to chuck in the oven later. Does smell quite nice, hope it is as I bought a few:oThis ones a sausage & herb casserole, will be an easy dinner if it works;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

Talking of coupons before.........I've never had a giftcard so can someone tell me does it actually say giftcard on your receipt when you spend it or does it just say coupon?
I had one once and if I recall correctly, it said 'evoucher' on the receipt (I emailled but got gift card through the post). I don't think they can tell from the receipt exactly where it came from, I know a JTD scans as 'voucher' though.0 -

I have taken an item back for a refund after paying with a money card and have received cash back rather than another money card...guess it depends on the assistant.
