I have been out with compact camera fully charged used it for a few minutes and it soon shows nearly flat. Tip put phone or camera in an inside jacket pocket to warm it up and it will soon read full again. The other night when I did my star trails picture the cold got to the battery first rather than the memory card being full
Happy birthday fourp
Actually thinking about it I saw something on tv the other day about a photographer taking piccies in the cold and he said he always had a spare battery in his inside pocket to keep warm. And Happy Birthday Fourp:T:TBeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

But I do dip in and out of it and keep my coupons stashed but it does seem to have gone downhill, don't really know what happened but I did see some posts about people leaving, which is a real shame. Think it all started when they split it into 2, one for chat and one for coupons. Kinda spoiled it imo. There was a great sense of community over there as well, and its a shame to see that go.
I think that any thread that doesn't allow some chat will inevitably die.
When I think I have found a bargain I can't wait to get online and share with you all on this thread because you are my like-minded cyber friends and I know that you are all eager to report back with your successes too for my benefit and that of others here.
Do I dash home to share on a thread with hundreds of lurkers who I know nothing of and care nothing for? No, of course I don't. The chat-free threads are full of people who want you to dish it all up on a plate - details, photos, barcodes... - so they can go and clear the shelves in their local. Most of the time they can't even be bothered to press the 'thanks' button. If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -
