    Can you imagine the trout's faces?

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Would love to see that - like the ones on the TV that get the shopping down from about $900 to about $10, just wish we could get away with that in the UK, and the greatest pleasure would be the trout's faces especially if they could do nothing about it :rotfl:

    I found a wallet a few years ago in a carpark, had £150 cash and several credit/debit cards in it. Also had several of the same business cards so I called the number and asked the man if he had lost a wallet, he said yes and could tell me what was in it. I told him where I was, he was in a building about 5 mins walk away, he said 'you can return my wallet to me here, I will let security know you are expected' . I told him he could come and get it , he then replied 'I am in a meeting so will be there in 1 hour'. I said 'OK, I will leave it on your car bonnet if you tell me your car'. He was there within 5 mins and just snatched it off me, no thank-you at all.

    Reading the posts of people finding money reminded me of when I found £200+. It was years ago when I worked in Oxford Street in London, it was my last day there as I was going to live in Spain. Someone left the money in a pencil case at the cash desk. I found it and gave it to the manager who said that he would hand it into the police. There was no contact details etc in it. I was told that if it wasn't claimed within 3 months then I could keep it. A few weeks later, I received a letter from the manager saying that the money had been claimed and the owner asked him to pass on his thanks to me. About 6 weeks later, I had a letter from a guy that I used to work with at the store. He told me that he'd gone home for a holiday to see his family (he was Spanish) and it turned out that the money had belonged to the doctor in the village where his family lived. He remembered meeting the doctor at the store because of the coincidence of them coming from the same village. He hadn't had the money returned to him. Turns out that the manager kept the money himself. A few months later, he was caught embezzelling from the company and later jailed. Just desserts, methinks!

    Lovely! Glad the creep was found out!!!

    Wasn't sure if I should visit Ts on the way home from work but popped in and nothing, not even any whoopises, Nothing to womble either, Uncle Bulgaria must have got there first...;)

    Popped in to Mr A's too as I fancied a big tray of doughnuts but they hadn't got any...:(:(:(

    So not a good day shopping wise...

    Reading back from posts this morning re finding wallets. I once was driving out of hospital and the car in front had something on the roof. I flashed (my lights) but they didn't see me and as they turned the corner the stuff on the roof fell off. I stopped and picked it up and it was a walking stick and a handbag. Got home found an address book with tel numbers. Ended up ringing the ladies daughter and she came and collected here bits. I had to apologise for going through her bag but it was the only thing I could do. The old gal was sweet though and insisted and took a tenner for my trouble but i really felt guilty taking it...:o
    Evening all not been out today stayed warm indoors, on the subject of finding things i once found a purse in the back of a taxi umd and ard if i should give it to the driver but then decieded not to as i just wanted to get it back to the rightfull owner intact. So when i got home looked in the purse for id and there was a doner card with a number on ,phoned the number and spoke to the husband who said his wife had lost the purse and she had been crying all day he came and picked it up from my home and was so gratfull lovely man. He then handed me a card when i opened it when he had gone it was a thankyou card with a £10.00 note in and the most lovely note saying how greatful they were and if there was anything they could ever do for me just to ask with their phone number on it, it wasnt so much the money that got to me it was the words they had wrote i felt so good for weeks after that karma what goes around comes around in my eyes.
