20p was too expensive for me when I could walk over to the metro and get some for 1p.
I did get a ACM voucher for a free No17 blusher so got that as my most expensive item as No17 on 342 at the moment and picked up a couple of cheaper things £2.89/£2.99 and paid total of £2.99 for 3 items. :j

I really wanted to go to a different Ts today, not much shopping needed as like most the (three) freezers are well stocked.
Had a peep in the really big one but have to get things out and put them in a box as its an industrial one and the bottom is a lonnnnnng way down, especially when you're five foot two.
Found a magnificent joint of beef that I must have put by for christmas and forgot about, but I will save it for a bit longer.
I decided to offer my services as nanny to my live in grandaughter who is eight weeks old, its far too cold to drive around with baby in the car when nan could be spoiling her and even though she lives here I rarely get time on my own, just cuddling!!!
Anyone who saw my post last night knows I am praying for a sprinkle of snow, not too much, just enough to win my bet.
I wouldn't normally as it can be a real pain for the workers in the house but selish me would win an early trip to Spain to see my beloved house and friends.
OOps the pram is making a noise and a strange smell wafting this way, time for a nappy change me thinks....catch u all later.0 -

Unfortunately it is their right to refuse any help and my mum was very good at saying my DD will do that for me! Think she was quite shocked when I told her in no uncertain terms that there was no way I would be helping her in and out of the bath with her having a broken back. With a bit of gentle persuasion she has an electric bath chair and can actually manage it very well on her own, giving her a bit of independence for longer.
Last time mum was discharge I asked to be present when social services visited her and they were fine, think I said something on the lines of just in case she forgot something she was being told. It just helped to know what was being offered/refused or accepted!!
Hope something gets worked out for your FIL and as I said some of this is my OHs line of work. Someone mentioned Age Concern well he works for a different charity. PM me if there is anything you need help with. The form filling can be a bit of a chore.0 -

:T No i not got a coupon wallet you are honoured :rotfl:
I feel very proud!:j:j:j
I wouldn't go so far as call it a "wallet" though...folded bit of blue paper with the words...
"Great deals on the things you want (:rotfl:) , price drops on the things you need(:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) and (wombled) clubcard points as a thank you" .. or words to that effect anyway!;)
It fails to mention how Mr T helps us out with DTD's and glitches though...:DLearn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
And get lots of glitches!0 -
Made me laugh and reminded me of this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JddNDtC-Yrs
(and I apologise, it does contain one naughty word, but it's just so funny, and it's permitted mainstream viewing on BBC One).
Friend and I were sitting watching clips of Mrs Brown on youtube the other night and just roaring with laughter - will have to look for a good deal on the dvds.

PS and forget silly comments about dogs keeping warm.
No, dogs seem to take much more heat than us. I had a big hairy dog in the 70's/80's who lay so close to our electric fire that he burnt his fur. We could smell the awful singing smell and realised he had two burnt out stripes on his back end ...... and he was still lying there, oblivous to it
See ya all laterMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Now back from MrT via Aldi and Mr S and caught up here. No real bargain hunting today as OH gets impatient:(.
Did notice some Dormen clipstrips of Indian Korma snacks in the baking aisle. Never seen these before or noticed them mentioned on here? They had a price tag of 67p which I think is a reduction (but no bargain yet unless you really like them!) BB date was 18/2/2012 so looks like they are clearance. Perhaps one to watch?:)
Snow now appears to be easing here in the North East but watching it through the french windows from my chair in front of the roaring fire. Pity I don't have any crumpets for afternoon tea:( A load of gannets descended yesterday and scoffed the lot:rotfl::rotfl:Awaiting a new sig0
