with talk of fires today, i thought i'd post a picture or my FIRE GUARD. he lets me put wood on but he makes sure he is closest all other times :rotfl:

but on a more practical note, ive had this stove for 10 years now and it really does save me a fortune in heating. then at night when everyone has gone to bed, i put the washing in the room and it drys overnight.
edit, the paper has now been picked up, it was used to light fire. i know HAPPYC likes things in order. lol

    How cosy looking .:)

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

:D Your secret is out. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:The rest of your friends want M & S crumpets. :D

Sorry they've all gone(Gemini Jes ate them all!) and cook has gone off duty. Besides that, Lady Artha has come home and wasn't amused to see that she couldn't get near the log fire because a bunch of people had turned up for crumpets. That's me in the doghouse again:(

yeah especially as berets are the warmest type of a hat! So no wonder you need 3! :rotfl:
did you wear the silver ones at all?

I now have a vision of Nikkilala wearing 3 berets, one on top of her head and one clamped to each ear, all secured with baler twine! :rotfl:

I've hitherto imagined her as an elegant lady ( all those duvet covers and Laura Ashley) but the truth will out. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:What next - Lady Leenie as a bag lady ? (and I don't mean Louis Vuitton!) :p :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    Hope is not a strategy.

Me and Auto won't forget you know but our crumpets tasted delicious thank you. Lady Artha will forgive you if you open one of your finest bottles of champagne for her. Talking of Lady's LadyLeenie won't be pleased she missed out :D
