  • all this talk of sim cards.... can anyone help me, my DD's going to Dublin to watch the rugby match on sunday and she wanted a PAYG european sim card as she doesnt have roaming in her contract.. plus she's going to Euro Disney the week after...

Can anyone advise me which sim card to get her?? xxxx

Those 'roaming' SIM cards are a rip off. I usually buy a PAYG SIM when I get to where I'm going. It might not be cheap but if you consider how much a few calls and texts on the standard SIM it would soon pay for itself, especially if using data.

I had a lovely dinner earlier today - but my tea... Yuck!!!!

I didn't fancy doing another home cooked meal so I just bunged in some RTC chicken kievs to go with a side salad. They were originally quite dear too £3.10 for 2. It is like chewing shoe leather and all the contents are swimming around as a garlic butter liquid in the oven tin.

I haven't had a kiev for donkey's years and now I remember why

The best Kievs I've had were in Russia. They were so delicious I had 12 of them. Dirt cheap too as the cafe I was in charged the old Soviet way where you paid by weight as opposed to a set amount per plate. Mmmm, I want to go back now.

I would ring up and complain they sound yuk.

I would usually. I bought these the same shopping trip as some steak n kidney pies last week. They were both Tesco branded and both RTC.

The pies were atrocious too so I rang up and was promised a £10 gift card. If I ring about these as well, they will think I am just picking fault!!

Note to self: NEVER go in Ts for a quick cheats meal when you are hungry as you will buy too much junk!!!!!

This happened to me the last year I was self employed and on the deadline, i took mine to pc world as the screen wouldnt come on and it was the catch that closes the laptop, then the screen goes off was broke so my laptop always thought it was shut. The guy fixed it....didnt charge me as he saw what a state I was in on the 31st Jan lol

May help but Im no techie so thought Id share

ope you get it sorted. oh and mine went in a bit late but no charge, my guess is they give a deadline then have a small lee way as with everything else in life

Finally sorted it out, had to go find and enclosure to turn HDD into a portable one then connect to netbook and try to find the very obscure file DH saved it under. Took me hours to figure out how to search the HDD for the file.
    He'd stored it under
TAX POO (not right word but sticking to the no swearing/inappropriate words :D)
Just releaved he used his normal password for mine, was panicking about that also because he hadn't stored the passwords
Back to catching up from yesterday, be back in about 4 hrs ;)
