Do you mean codes to get onto the online tax system or do you mean your tax codes ( if its the tax codes eg for your notice of coding etc)you can get them by ringing Inland Revenue
If you know someone with same laptop you may be able to remove hard disc and put it into their computer and use it that way IFSWIM

I'm off out to see if I can get one of the pc repair shops to take a look at it and hopefully get it sorted today.
Oh I forgot to say I now have 2 new tiny mouths to feed. One of my fish, a molly, has just had a baby. DS found it this morning and was so pleased to have a companion for our other baby fish. My friend works in a fish shop and they got a delivery of neon tetras in a week ago, I had gone in to get a few yesterday and spotted a different baby, a dwarf puffer fish!!! Needless to say I brought him home, paid just £5.50 for him and for his food. He's only 1cm long but such a feisty wee thing, he's already got the others staying away from bothering him but will just keep an eye on them to see how they get on. He should grow to no more than 1 inch so will fit in perfectly with the size of the others when he's an adult.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked
SPC 2014 £1100:D

Having a nightmare, barely slept last night. Had been trying to sort out DHs laptop so I could do my tax return, all the codes are stored on it because it's old and modem broke in it so wouldn't have been able to go online thus the reason for the netbook
It won't work at all, 2 lights go on but not the screenno sound from the fan going on or anything. I'll have to find some where to take it to and because of what's on it would want to stay with it.
I've got until midnight tomorrow night to get my return done before I get charges, not happy with myself because I could have done it when doing DHs final return back in June but I didn't and now so anrgy with myself
Hi, im a techie, but without seeing your lappy its difficult to be sure whats wrong.... All i can say is make sure the battery is inplace correctly, remove it and put it back, it will click back into place.... Tobe honest it doest sound good if the screen isnt comming on... The data on the hard drive can be recovered if the lappy is defo dead, so dont loose heart....Who's the more foolish: the fool, or the fool who follows him?OBI-WAN KENOBI:beer: :A :beer:0 -
What's a bit of mince between friends?:rotfl::rotfl:
Gritting teeth here and probably going to regret it but woman don't necessarily know everything about cooking you know?:)
Actually on that very touchy subject of man vs woman knowledge I always remember a reported add:
"For Sale. Full set of Encyclopedia Brittanica......Not needed as wife knows everything!":D
Reminds me of a joke:
A woman took her husband to a specialist to purchase a donor brain.
The specialist said "well, I have 2 compatible brains you can choose from. One is £2K which belonged to an old lady, the other is £500k which belonged to an old man"
The husband gave the wife a knowing wink.
The wife asked, "Why is the male brain so expensive?"
Specialist, "It has hardly been used...":A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Just doing a speed read and saw more of jumblejacks lovely food, but do you know it is possible to get food poisoning from reheated rice?
Yes. If rice is kept warm for too long it can pose a risk. Cool unused rice quickly then reheat thoroughly when re used.
I have never had a problem. Been doing it for *coughs* a few years:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
