Morning everyone
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Never pay more than you have too0 -
I used to think gambling was a mugs game, and for me it would be. BUT, I knew a professional gambler (and I know the guy in the bookies he used so I KNOW all the facts) who lives very well off the results - so well he now lives in a big house in the South of France! When he was here he drove a Porsche and kept the hours he wanted to keep, he did extremely well out of it!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Good morning all, rather cold up north too!
February begins, roll on the bargains!
Have a very good day everyone xThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -
Morning everyone.Anyone seen martins weekly newsletter - think tescos is going to busier than ever - he's done an article on 1p finds at tesco and a link to the 1p forum!!!
Guess 1p items are going to be harder to find now with more people looking!
Could have been worse - could have linked to this thread too!mymerrywidow wrote: »:eek::eek:i dont think there is anything 1p finds out there now, weve had them all :j:j
gee whizz its cold outside.
Certainly the case in my store - distinct lack of 1p choc and I'm not eagerly awaiting the further reductions on Xmas stock as sadly I don't think there is any, or at least none that I can see.
Possibly heresy on this thread, but Lucerysmum has posted on Grabbit that there will be a Morrisons £6 off £40 spemd coupon in the Sun tomorrow.0 -
No argument from me there Issyc.
The High street(s) ( side street any any other street/road where they can find money) would not be lined with bookies for any other reason.
Does not mean you can't beat them.
Math lesson 1: "implied odds probability"
4/1 means £10 stake at 4/1 your horse wins you win £40 plus stake money.
To me 4/1 means that horse has a 1 in 4 chance of winning.
Out of 100 races that horse would win 25 lose 75, so i'd bet on that 4/1 horse to lose.
Translate horses into football.
Fraction decimal percentage.
Still a mug punter ? Probably, my math means I have a good idea of what i'm punting on. Controlling gambling addiction isn't a problem.
It's like waiting for a sel to expire, and checking it on the next daysome you win some you lose, if you do it at random you will always lose.
If it wasn't for gamblers I'd not have a job0 -
