Yes, sorry but I really do think that gambling is a mug's game. Glad that you got lucky but it doesn't happen very often. Most people lose far more than they win.
No argument from me there Issyc.
The High street(s) ( side street any any other street/road where they can find money) would not be lined with bookies for any other reason.
Does not mean you can't beat them.
Math lesson 1: "implied odds probability"
4/1 means £10 stake at 4/1 your horse wins you win £40 plus stake money.
To me 4/1 means that horse has a 1 in 4 chance of winning.
Out of 100 races that horse would win 25 lose 75, so i'd bet on that 4/1 horse to lose.
Translate horses into football.
Fraction decimal percentage.
Still a mug punter ? Probably, my math means I have a good idea of what i'm punting on. Controlling gambling addiction isn't a problem.
It's like waiting for a sel to expire, and checking it on the next daysome you win some you lose, if you do it at random you will always lose.

I'm here at last Frequent - first time I've got up to date since Friday evening   Don't forget I am up in Wallsend visiting Mam, but also, i am on a mobile dongle up here, so keep losing my connection, I did post last night about 11 pm, a really long post, only to find when I pressed submit, that my connection had gone again
Had a lovely but busy day on Sunday when I did a family 'tea' for my brother's 65th as he decided that he would rather have that than go out for a meal
And Mam has been good at the home, quite cheery, and eating well, as ever, though you wouldn't think it to see her. She was about 6 1/2 stone when she was taken in to the unit in November 2010 but can only be about 5 stone at the most now, and more likely less
I did go to s/world up here yesterday and lost 3 lbs :j :j Mr 3Dogs got weighed back home and he'd lost 3 lbs too :j:j He was also Slimmer of the Month for January with 11 1/2 lost in the month - Mr January eh?
I know there is lots going on with the elite 11+ at the moment so (((hugs))) and congrats to all that need them, but must add my congats to meerkatsmimm on the birth of your baby daughter earlier today :j :j :j :j
I will try to keep posting but it is difficult to keep up when up hereMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

3dogs where have you been ?
Nice to be missed
I know where I haven't been F - and that's Tescoother than a quick visit to North Shields/Norham Road store for the food for my brothers 'birthday tea' on Sunday, and I certainly didn't have time to look for 1p items, glitches or anything like that
