I have had a few 1p items from there before- spontex, bin air freshners etc. all through the manned tills. They wouldn't let me have the leaf trays though and I really wanted them!
It is a shame they took the self scanner out. I drive the staff mad checking prices and putting stuff back.0 -

reading the medical records/notes of someone you care and love about is tough. Especially when they have things on there that you never know existed!
sorry for bringing the mood down a bit.
My mum's going through a rough patch and relapsed (mental health problems).
Wish i could reach out and give you a hug - so please have a virtual
((((hug)))) instead, i know its not easy when people you care about are ill, but please try not to feel too down as im sure your mum wouldn't want you to feel this way, and to be honest (but brutal) you being depressed is not going to help any one least of all your self and your mum.
You need to look on the bright side, now you know more you will be in a better position to help out when needed. I don't want this to come across as harsh, just would hate to think of you being pulled down because of the situation as well.
Much love to you and your mum as well xxxVery proud to be Strip club member No 430 -
Jumblejack, have you any tips on potato cakes? My grannie used to make them and they were wonderful, hot out of the oven (on a cold winter day) with home-made butter (which used to run down my chin). I made some the other day and they were a tasteless disappointment. The stuff they sell in the supermarkets purporting to be potato cakes is pretty tasteless. Thanks IA
Not a granny-style recipe but I remember making potato cakes a few years ago and Philadelphia cream cheese was added to the mash. It gave a fresh, slightly tangy taste to the mix. I suppose you could use the garlic and herb one for a tastier option. If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -
