Good evening one and all :D

Wombled my first worthwhile receipt of the year at the weekend 64 points and £1.39 via TPC :T

Quick question if I may, has anyone combined the £5 off £40 and the £5 off £25 clothes and got away with it.. Id never spend £40 in one hit so was thinking of spending £40 on clothes then taking something back...:o essentially getting something for £10 for free..

That reminds me I'd better do my tax return
Seems a bit of a waste considering everything is gonna be £0

I had a panic thinking that I'd put DHs old laptop into storage as all the codes for tax return are stored on there (no modem installed) Although will take me time to find it due to DHs obscure filing system, done to confuse everyone but him :rotfl:
Totally forgot what day it was.
Mine will be the same as yours as I've been off for a while and when working only just covering costs but don't want to claim benefits unless I really have to because they are already inundated because of so many people loosing their jobs.

Would you believe it! I just thought to myself, I am unhappy with the pie so let em know. I rang the number on the box. Explained I am unhappy with the misleading picture on the box, the misleading size of the box and the misleading description "Deep FILLED pie" and they are sending me a £10 gift card and passing on my complaint to the producers!!!

Why can't you get customer service like this instore??

If you have a valid complaint guys, let em know! If enough do it then they will have to start being more accurate in their marketing ploys. :)

I have just run into Tesco an hour ago on the way back from a field trip. Bought a steak n kidney pie RTC £1.55 and chunky chips to have with veggies as a quick, too tired to cook tea as the oh is taking kids climbing in a few minutes.
    Well I feel robbed!!
The steak m kidney pie was supposed to be £3.10. Would anyone actually pay that much?!!!

I feel robbed at £1.55. There was hardly any meat. The pie was just air inside and the pastry was yucky cardboard.
The packaging seemed to suggest a large pie but when quartered they were not even toddler portions!!!

My home made 'leftover pies' cost pence to make and are divine. I know it's a little quibble but I cannot believe the price of so called convenience foods. If that is how much someone would pay for such a tiny insubstantial and inferior pie, them I don't know how joe public can afford to eat.

So glad it's a one off. A supposedly quick, bung in the oven meal has left me feeling pretty annoyed.
Pudding was a punnet of raspberries and a natural yoghurt blended into a smoothie as no time to bake :(

Hope everyone has eaten better than me tonight!!!

Making a chilli tomorrow so leftover pies will be on the menu for middle of the week!!

As my daughter would say - ikr! (I know right)

I noticed pie making on another thread, can you tell me how you make yours as I've never made them but think my family would like them.

    Xmas Saver!
    Evening all!

No time to read all through today, but am I correct there is a remote control car with 1/2 price stickers on it so DTD, still 1p xmas chocs, something with Iloom balloons - if you could expand that would be great and thats about it bar a few RTC's? Is the mars bar thing still working on the 9 packs?

I found a cheeky one too, Disney Cars 2 6 pack chocolate bars 10p (were £1), mine were in the clearance section but had a box full, so some left after I had a load. It's Kinnertons chocolate, so not to everyones taste, but great to give to kids!

My cousins dog bonnie (a collie) got hit last year, they heard the car screetch from in the house, they'd lost control mounted the kerb hit the dog who was outside the house and the wall and drove off.
She had to be put down as her back was broken, they were never caught.

Awe poor bonnie makes me :mad::mad::mad:
