Thank you for the lovely post. Unfortunately I've gone through the entire list of migraine drugs that are compatible with the drugs that I have to take on a daily basis and haven't found an effective treatment. The extremely unfortunate thing for me is that every single new drug that's introduced or problem that arises now has a very serious knock on effect to one of my illnesses or other drugs. The only thing I have found helpful is taking a travel sickness tablet and an Ibuprofen. BUT even Ibuprofen is a risk as with the combination of other tablets I take, it can act cause serious stomach aggrevation which can lead to ulceration and bleeding. Because I'm on warfarin (which thins the blood) it means that any bleeding, but particularly hidden bleeding can be life threatening!! Just from taking Ibuprofen! So I can only take one if it's unmanageable, otherwise I'm stuck with grinning and bearing the pain
I think mine are largely hormonal considering the monthly pattern that they follow so I resorted to having the depo provera injection a couple of times but to no avail. If I had continued there's a small chance it may have improved the symptoms but I gave it 6 months and knowing that I have Osteoporosis and the Depo injection actively contributes to bone density loss, I didn't feel the risk was worth it. I would have loved to have tried taking the pill but Oestrogen again isn't compatible with warfarin so back to square one!
I don't do things by halves. I'm a complete mine field! :eek::o:mad::(
EDITED to add thank you to Debsx
Whaaaat????
Is this well known? That's worrying
FWIW, there has been a recent study that shows expressing rage during a migraine attack can lessen the migraine - so try shouting or punching some pillows! Well, it's got to be worth a try?!:starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:0 -
Another brilliant place for cushions is TK Maxx. It's a case of grab it quick there though, as they never have the same things again.
They are also great for nice glasswear and vases etc.
I know they have dedicated homewear shops too, although I think my nearest is Bristol
They have a "Homesense" in Taunton which is the homewear side of TKMaxx so not quite so far to go as you thought - some lovely stuff in there toooo xxVery proud to be Strip club member No 430 -

However if you have an advantage card there is a voucher you can print off from the machines in store for 25% off one bottle of shampoo or conditioner. There is a glitch though, I can't quite work out what it is but my receipt has £3.49, now £2.61, save 88p, save £1.75. It ended up costing 86p seen this on hduk

Funny you should both say that because I didn't know about the petrol coupon when I went in store and my spend was just under £50. SA asked me if I wanted to get anything else to top it up to £60, but I couldn't think that fast as I was trying to work out my shop net of DTD whilst paying!
My local T does not have a petrol station, so quite often these vouchers just get discarded and are ripe for wombling - 10p pl off is worth having even taking into account extra distance to go and fill up (plus the excuse to go and have a rootle through a bigger Extra store in the next town).0 -

3 hrs sleep only to be rudely woke by my Dad who decides at 6am he doesn't know where his work hi-vis vest is:eek:
Obviously my fault because I do all the washing even if I do have to hunt the whole house for it all. He decides the best thing to do to find it is to throw all the washing and DSes toys about the sitting room, not caring where they're going so hitting me with them as I sleep (BTW I sleep on the sofa, long story) best bit about it is I never found it on Friday to wash it so don't know what he's done with it. So the huffy so and so is off to work, with or without it I don't care anymore.
It's on days like these I wish DS was totally healthy and we could have taken either of the 2 houses the council offered us. Feeling so fed up with it all, don't know how much DS or I can take of being in this house but have no where else to go. Have tried the homeless section of the council but the nearest 'normal' family hostel space is the other side of the country and then I have to pay to get DS to school or change schools:eek:. Aparently Belfast don't do 'normal' family hostels, they have every other type of hostel, for every situation but in their infinite wisdom they forgot about this needy group.
Sorry rant over
:(:(:( Awww SpiralingDown you poor love! I'm so sorry that things aren't getting better for you in your current living situation. I really wish there was an answer to make things easier for you and DS. I hope you're having fun with retail therapy, you most definitely deserve it :T:TMinnie-the-Minx wrote: »I loved this book too. I was quite tearful when I finished it - firstly because it was so moving and secondly because I was so disappointed that I had finished it as I enjoyed reading it so much.
I liked the film but nowhere near as much as the book.
I haven't read the book, looks like I should! Thank you purdita and Minnie-the-Minx :T I feel the same about the Twilight books and filmsErm a few:o:o:oI've got about 6 super king duvets still in packets but I just love a duvet, and it's only the cost of just over a packet of cigarettes;) And I'm 12 weeks ciggie free today so it's my little pressie to myself;)
Can always talk myself into a duvet cover!!
:j:j:j Check you out, 12 weeks!!! :j:j:j Definitely deserving of a few duvet covers!'There are people who have money and people who are rich' :heart2: Coco Chanel0 -

If it's anything like the previous promotions you can use up to 3 vouchers in 1 transaction ... so 30p off a litre ... mmm now that I write it that sounds too good to be true.
Does anyone have a voucher to check the T&Cs?0 -
what does this consist of ..approx ..
6 slices of bread & butter
4 slices of fried bread
12 sausages
6 eggs
a bath full of beans
3 or 4 slices of black pudding
half a dozen or more rashers of bacon
some mushrooms
3 pink things
and maybe other hidden items ..
I wouldn't want to eat all of this .
There are thousands of OAP's , children and adults living in the UK who can't afford a decent hot meal .
I know that not eating the above challenge won't feed them but as a society we sometimes have to look inwards .
Just off to burn my soap box
