You may not be of any help when you get there but if you are at home you will be so cross with yourself if your mum needs you.
I'm sure if you stay at home your head and heart will be in Surrey anyway so you may as well get your body there too.
Hope it all turns out OK for you all.
on behalf of Snap ..many thanks Minnie , don't forget the quiz . You did really well yesterdayI was young once , now I get older all the time .0 -
Hi, just wondering if anyone has found any of the mars 9 pack today and were they still 10p? I didnt find any, found 3 haribo christmas mix and 15 disney princess stockings (1p), all through SS till, They will be good for one of the grandkids birthday party in a couple of weeks. thanks IAlife is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0

My Mum has just rung to say my Dad is not at all well. He fell a few days ago & now can't walk. Dr is on his way within the next 3 hours.
He was parallelised from the waist down a while ago but did get some feeling back & can walk clumsily.
Last night he fell again trying to get out of bed & banged his head
My dilemma is do I jump on a train to Surrey? I've asked Mum if she needs me there & she said no.
But I know she can't cope with lifting him as she's over 75. I'm going to ring her friends & see if they can call in.
Will Dr send Dad to hospital? I hope so as he will be xrayed & dealt with.
I will know more after the Dr has been. Meanwhile I will pack a case. Unfortunately if it gets too late today I've only got another 2 trains that leave here today................aaarrgghhhhh
Dilemma
So sorry to hear your bad news, I hope your dad makes a quick recovery. If it was me I would go to see them, if it's not practical today then maybe go early tomorrow.
Good luck x0 -

Not for the want of trying though. Only thing I found was a good DTD (the old one) on some frozen peas. I only bought them to keep me beer cold :rotfl:

this is the stray we took in a while back (after a monumental 6 month struggle to get him indoors) and when we did he wouldn't go up on any furniture or chairs , stayed firmly footed to the floor .
I'd say he was settled now ...and no wonder our little nick nacks keep on getting broke .I was young once , now I get older all the time .0 -

I think I am rivaling Mad in my wombling attempts. In Mr A's today and I swiped one receipt from the bin near the SS tills. Picked up another one from the car park floor in full view of a trolley man. Looked at it and it only had 3 things on it, so i went to put it in the car park bin.... only I ummm grabbed another receipt out of the bin at the same time
The one on the car park bin was for £150, who throws receipts that large away? Unfortunately there seems to be lots of multi-buys on it. :eek:0 -

Many thanks Lovelies ♥
I want to be there to help
Trying to get hold of Mum's friend who is a nurse to see if she can call in but no answer - she crews sailing ships around the world..
Looks like it will be tomorrow as last train is 4.40pm & I'll get to Haslemere at 10.30pm tonight - just don't want to travel & tube it across London so late on my own (is this selfish? what to do?)Our Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...
