Miss laid. Just shared your story with the kids. Very funny!!

When my eldest was young, I was asked "what is a w(bleep)?"
I was really shocked but asked "where did you hear the word?"
I was told that another child (the charming family that lived next door at the time) had been shouting it over the hedge.

I sidestepped it by saying that Peter was a very silly boy that didn't know how to say Willy Wonka's name properly.

    Aren't kids horrible sometimes!!!!!

Edit, hope no one takes offence at the above. I NEVER swear... EVER!!
It really took me back at the time as my child was so young:eek:

I can be bad for swearing sometimes but never ever swore in front of my DS, till he was about 9 he still thought Shut up was a swear word (Pet hate of mine, kids being told to shut up) because I always said I'd never tell my children to shut up. Qute funny thinking about it now, he doesnt swear in front of me, although I know he does swear;)and I don't think he's ever told anyone to shut up:)
