Don't waste any more of your precious time on this Earth talking to d*ckheads whose only object in their miserable lives is to con money out of people that owe them nothing.
Ignore it completely, and you will find that their "intention" to issue a county court claim "shortly" will be as much of a lie as every other word that comes out of their mouths.
In the event they ARE stupid enough to do so, PLEASE let me have the privilege of defending it, and then supervising the claim for harassment that you WILL make from them...0 -

I have proof and a witness statement to show I was elsewhere driving a different car at the time.
if they do take you to court I would love to be present when you present the evidence you have that you were not driving the car at the time of the alleged *contravention"."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

So i told them again I was not driving and sent them a hire car invoice for the time in question again the refuse to accept this and are immediately saying they will issue a county court claim.
TROLL alert !!!!
Don't believe you I'm afraid. All the advice on here ( including this thread ) and you "appeal" ? How exactly would a car hire invoice prove you weren't driving ? Go away and try and scam someone else please.
IF you ARE genuine then ignore them and come back if you do get court papers ( I'd bet my mortgage you don't get any ).All aboard the Gus Bus !0 -
Sorry but I don't follow how that could make him a troll. This is the standard sh*t they do come out with. So how is he lying? This is his first post, this forum is full of people who "appealed" thinking (wrongly) it was a bona fide company that would listen.
If that is all you are basing the opinion on I respectfully suggest a reconsideration.0 -
Calling me a Troll is a little unfair, I have shared my expirence thinking it would help others.
I emailed McDonalds to let them know but that was pretty pointless, they forwarded my mail to McDonald licencee and I got a copy and paste response.
I recieved the second letter requesting payment last week and it has been filed with the rest now.0 -
Ok. They are plainly harassing you. McDonalds no doubt will take the attitude of "Not me, guv" but in fact they are 100% responsible for the d*ckheads they choose to put in their car park.
What are they claiming about, an alleged overstay? Most of the time it's a "mistake" made by their ANPR system anyway..
Perhaps a proper letter before action to McDonalds, setting out the fact that if there is a problem it's nothing to do with you yet their agents are still harassing you unlawfully; and that you will hold McDonalds liable for the actions of their agents; and that unless the harassment ceases forthwith you will be claiming damages pursuant to Section 3 of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997...
You don't say, "please Sir", you tell them you are going to kick A55 and sound like you mean it! Then I think you will get a proper response from McDonalds.. and, if you still don't, we sue.0 -
Feel free to post a draft of any letter up here before sending it so we can fine tune it if necessary.Je Suis Cecil.0
