It does seem to demonstrate, though, that there is a systemic failing in Argos procedures that allow returned goods to get mixed up amongst unsold goods. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Just bought a food processor from Argos. When I got it home and opened it, it had a dirty greasy mark on it's side, marks where the blade had been turning and a crack in the bowl. I'm really annoyed as I have to get the bus back down there tomorrow and they don't have another one in store to exchange :mad:0

A friend of mine used to work in Argos. She told me that it was common practice that when an item was returned, it was just put back on the shelf to be resold, even if it was faulty. I guess they were hoping that people wouldn't bother returning it and they wouldn't lose out. I never buy there any more for that reason.0

I seem to recall PC World were prosecuted a couple of times for this a few years back.0

Many years ago we bought a Barbie motor home from Argos for my eldest Daughter for Christmas. When we got home we thought the box was not very heavy so we opened it only to find it was empty. Argos supplied a new one without any problems, perhaps I should have guessed the box was empty when I was carrying it to the car, just imagine how my Daughter would have felt just getting an empty box for Christmas0
