Is it true that BT Vision and TopupTv may soon not be showing Skysports Channels ?

A friend of mine has advised me that BT Vision and TopupTv may soon be unable to showing Skysports channels.

Is this correct and, if it is, what is the reason ?

We are looking to get a digital box for our TV and my OH loves watching sport. So if BT and ToputTV won't be showing Skysports, we will look elsewhere (Virgin or Sky).

I have BT vision , not had any notice that they plan to stop

TUTV have only recently released a new CAM (CI+) to allow Sky SP 1 & 2 to be viewed on suitable TV's so it's doubtful that will be pulling the plug any time soon.

BT Vision have been looking at distributing Sky Sports to their customers via broadband only as they are making a loss on its distribution via DTT. If they do this then TopUpTV would be unable to afford the cost of the DTT transmissions for their customers on their own. Nothing has been heard of the BT Vision proposal yet and even if they do it would almost certainly take at least 12 months to implement. So basically in the long term TopUpTV may be risky but BT Vision should continue albeit swapping to internet delivery only.
