One option is to try a 2wire hgv2700, eBay normally has a few. These are excellent at staying connected on long lines.“I look like Spiderman at a funeral”~ Karl Pilkington0

Using the ADSL2+ speed checker (71.4 db line) on Sky User I get:-
ADSL2+ Speed Test
We estimate your line is capable of between 1mb to 2mb broadband on an ADSL2+ service.
That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Well, there you go. BT will most likely be ADSL, not ADSL+ and you're stuck with a marginal line miles from the exchange.
Best to ask BT to fix a your line at a stable speed.0 -
Just me that thinks after 3 Home Hubs it's nothing to do with the hub....
And a measure of BT Retail's technical incompetence that they should even think it was, and just keep sending a new one without investigating the real issue.
Too late now I know, but who told you that you 'had to go with BT'?
There are dozens of BT resellers available to you, better and cheaper.
All you can do internally is use the best quality filters and router (not the BT junk), make sure you are plugged into the master socket, not a extension, and use ethernet not wireless. You may see some marginal improvement. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
