Can you do All Inclusive in Summer Hols for £300 pp max?

Hello
We normally go to Florida once a year. We don't pay for accomadation as this is sorted. We pay for car hire & flights do 1 of the parks and just do inexpensive things. This year however we have decided to do Europe.
I have never tried All Inclusive and am considering trying this out. Thing is it all seems so expensive. Is it possible to do 1 week all inclusive somewhere for about £300 per person inc flights? The reason why I have set this budget is cause if we pay much more than that we may as well ending up going back to the states, and as much as I love it thier would like to do something different now.
Any comments please. Open to anywhere really as long as its kid friendly and hot. Oh and during kids school holidays.

I paid around £220pp for AI including flights (Majorca) a few years ago BUT this wasn't in the main summer hols (early July) and was in a room which slept 5 (and there were 5 of us)
It will depend where you're flying from as well as we usually pay a bit more to fly from Newcastle08 wins £3000+ :j09 wins £4408:j2010 (6 months off) £2004:j2011 £10,003 :j 2012 - £6013 :j2013 wins £8500 :j 2014 £5530 so far....0 -
Last year we had a week AI in Fuertaventura in JulAugust. Think we paid about £780 for 3 (adult) of us, booked two months before. Accommodation was basic. Food/drink was great. Resort was quiet though, but I believe this is one of the quieter islands. So it can be done, but may need to wait until nearer the time4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Quick answer , NO!
Check out the latest thread , 'How to max Ai '
One poster after another moaning how they hated their holidays BUT a few of us saying how wonderful our experiences were . The difference ? they tried it on the cheap . Poor food /crowds and problems.
I spent money , way outside the budget you quoted , and it was so good I went back to similar establishments for the past three years.
You will regret trying to do Ai on the cheap .0 -
I disagree with the above statement. We had a great holiday. But I would say it would depend on what you want from a holiday. The resort we were in wasn't the best. But we are the type to like to get out and about and see round the local scenery. Hotel was great at providing a packed lunch if you informed them that you would be out at lunch time. We were going for a week of relaxation, and we certainly got it, was a great holiday and wouldn't hesitate doing it again4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

We did a AI trip at 2k PP and still thought it was a waste of time altho it was a great trip so doesn't matter how much you spend AI either suits you or it doesn't, with all the review sites nowadays it's easy to weed out the great from the awful just find a place with a balance of reviews0 -
Doesn't AI get a bit boring?
I've considered it but I think we would find it too constraining for us as we are the sort of people that only use a resort as a base to explore the surrounding area.
I can certainly see the benefits if you have children but I'd be worried that I would just stuff myself stupid just to get my money's worth.0 -
Can It get boring ?
You say you like to get out and about and explore .
I can give you a list of Ai hotels to avoid , they are the ones I have spent the last few years going to.
I want to be pampered , I want to really relax , be waited upon , lie by the pool reading a good book .
Done the ' lets go and see' bit years ago .
Ai inclusive might not be for you , but at least you were not completely dismissive of the idea, some poster's have written about something they have never tried.0 -
Yes. I'm off to Turkey in August for £340 all inc, however that's a 4* so if you're willing to get a 3* then it will be well in budget. Places like Spain and Majorca might have cheaper decent holidays as the flights tend to be a lot cheaper.0

oooooooo b1505 can you give me a clue as to where you are going/which travel agent you booked with.
I spent hours last night trawling the web, and the cheapest week I could find was just under £500 each for a week in june - agh!
Thankyou.
OP I agree about being careful though, we went to turkey last year and I ended up rather poorly, the doctor told me to book 5* if I went again.

If you book flights really early you can. I booked my flights for next August last August and paid £352 return for 4 of us to Menorca including all taxes and costs. I think that you would struggle now as a lot of people are now starting to think about summer hols.0
