Oh I see. However would this be wise as it may drain the battery? Surely a better idea is to have one on your house looking towards the car?

ive found a battery pack, that says it lasts around 10 hours.

I am sure this has been covered before, what use is it going to be. Surely if the car is stolen or damaged it is up to the police to catch them and convict them. Can the footage be used in evidence? Is it legal to have it on when passengers are in the car without informing them that it is on? What if your forget to tell them and they find out that they are being recorded?

With no cctv, they wouldnt have much to go on?

Will be used at night, when no one should be in the car. :P

And about having an external cam on the house, it isn't my property so i cant.

How many cameras do you plan to fit to get a decent view around the car?

Battery lasts 10 hours but, How often do you leave your car for longer than that?

And how many hours will it take to charge? Also how will the battery cope with being fully discharged
    each time?

They are apps that do this for you. I use "AutoBoy" which is free and I like it................... Also, these recorders want your phone in landscape, where I want it in Portrait.

I also use Autoboy. I Like the fact that you can toggle from camera to map and it will phone a pre selected number if it detects your car has been in a crash.

Check your settings, it can be used in portrait mode, mine is.
