I don't have an answer to the OP's question but wanted to stick my vote for Humax in here should someone else stumble upon the thread when considering a move from Sky.
We canceleld Sky+HD last month and got a Humax HDR-FOX T2 and what can I say! Sky and Virgin could both learn a lot from the speed and responsiveness of the interface.
To add to this, it plays iPlayer and YouTube direct from the web, streams content easily from my PC, and allows playback of recorded content on other devices around the house.
Just awesome
