I know I have nothing to worry about, but I don't like being looked at under a microscope, especially with the kids around.cc74 wrote:I don't have any friends in the area and sadly it's half term now. I feel I'm going to stress and that'll tense up my very clingy kids.
Or maybe you'd rather get it over with! At least by phoning them first you have made them aware of potential difficulties.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
THANK YOU ALL SOOOOOO MUCH (well except Dave). You all have given great and positive feed back. On advice from this site, I phoned them. I started to explain the situation with kids and the holidays. The lady looked at my file and said she was very sorry there had been an oversite. They had visited me a few weeks back and these letters where sent out in there hundereds, and that they didn't need to see me as all info was up to date.
What a sigh of relief. All that worrying. I am a dozy one! While on the phone i checked about my wage slips, and she said until i'm earning more I don't need to send them in.
It is also mortage interest payments i've applied for, not housing benefits. Sorry, my mistake. I'm still waiting to hear, only been 6 weeks but they say they are short staffed (thought maybe once kiddies older, I could apply for a job there as they are always short on staff!!! )
They are so helpful and so are you all. In my head over the weekend they'd become unreasonable monsters.
All is good in my house now. Wishing you all happy Easter and enjoy the eggs.

I once received a letter like that years ago all because i was claiming IS and had a child under 16. They wanted my ex husbands details so they could chase him through the CSA which was absolutely no use as he lives in Thailand. The guy was only here for 10 mins while he wrote a report giving the circumstancs after i'd worried my sick for a full week. They really could do with wording their letters a little better.0
