Your all soooo lucky my post office is the complete opposite they look at me as if i'd trod in summat when i come in as if to say "oh god its her again" theres only one lady thats quite nice but not there often.
Now i tend to take a 15 min bus ride to a diff post office where the staff are great and have a laugh with you especially when i turn up with 15 parcels.
Saying that tho my postwoman is one in a million she very polite and always has a smile even when she was trekking through all the snow we had!!! :T

My local one is very friendly, even when its very busy. I used a Post Office in asda the other week, and not only was the queue longer, the staff didn't stop moaning about a couple of children having fun in the queue! That made it my 1st and last visit to that one!0

Mine is useless, it's hit or miss whether it's open or not and the staff do nothing but whinge about how crap their equipment and job is.0

My local is run by an idiot. He sighs ignorantly when you come in with more than 3 parcels.
Its gotten so bad that even if I have as little as 4 or 5 parcels, ill go to his post office with 2 or 3 then another post office with the rest.0 -
My local one is good but i can only get there on Saturdays. Through the week i use one close to work in central London where most of the staff are incompetent and waiting time is anywhere up to 45 minutes. The manager often walk in and distracts the staff with conversation instead of jumping on a window and helping out and there is one staff member that is so poor with customer service skill i refuse to be served by him. I stopped selling for a while just to avoid wasting my lunch break in there.
To top it all off, without fail, the staff try the hardsell for the credit card, insurance and phone line. They even have a staff member standing near the door to to hijack you when leaving.
I have found the little PO's a much better experience.0 -
My local one is fab:T:T:T
Nothing is too much trouble. They don't mind if you have 3 or 30 parcels. They will sort them no problem.0 -

I am sorry to read that your local PO member of staff isn't as chirppy as some that we are use to.Whilst I can't expect him to change, have you considered a parcel pick up from some of the carriers on Ebay? Some as low as around a £5 :money: inc insurance.Or once ordered you maybe able to take them to your localparcel depot in the morning (once confirmation number received)
Let's hope your local post office can still stay open even with the further
closures expected.0 -
I use 2 post offices, depending on which site I am on at ork. One of the PO's are great, cant fault them, the other are quite the opposite. They complain at ebay (even though everyone in queue is posting parcels), they are soooo slow, always ask if Belfast is within the UK, they get so stressed out. I took 10 parcels before christmas, some airmail, some recorded, I already had the slips written out and it took them an hour to sort! They also complain if you turn up after 4 - even though they open till 5.30.0
