oh oh oh, me too! Date twins. We nearly have less than a year to go.
Our wedding plans have gone a bit Pete Tong in that the reception venue went bust and, of course, I had set my heart upon it:o
We're going up this weekend (live in Lancs but getting married in Scotland) to stay at Plan B hotel. If it goes to plan then we will book it and if not, then we have no idea!
Actually I want to get married in New York if the hotel in Scotland is pants but need to work on the OH re that plan.0 -
Congrat's to you both for getting married next Jan.
We are thinking of taking our honeymoon to East America and Canada next year but can't decide between going late March or late April. Does anyone have any advice on which months are best for weather etc.
Another question if anyone can help - we have four bridesmaids, 4yr, 11yr and two older ones. The older ones are sorted with the dresses I like however went to see them at the weekend for the younger two and the dresses were £140. Does anyone know of any nice dresses that would suit a 4 and 11 year old in ivory, gold or claret please.
Thanks0 -
Yay managed to book our wedding venue last weekend, soooo excited now0

Congrats Blondy24. In less then a year we will be married! I'm struggling to find a photographer and trying to decide on a colour theme...decisions decisions! I'm thinking about possibly a combination of orange, pink and green. I know they are more summer and I'm a little worried that these won't go as its going to be winter. But then again it would brighten everything up and who cares what season it is.
What colour themes are everybody else going for?0 -
Hello, I am having gold and claret colour scheme which should look nice at that time of year.
Managed to book church, venue, disco, transport, hair and flowers. Going to see photographer and cake lady soon also going to try dresses on in a couple of weekends
Anyone else getting married next Jan?0 -
So excited as going wedding dress shopping this weekend....yay :j0

Ooohhh so excited. I managed to find my wedding dress last weekend. I have had to leave it at my nans house because I just don't have the space for it and also if it was anywhere near me I would just spend all day trying it on, staring at it and touching it :rotfl: .
I've managed to pay the deposit for our photographer today so that is all sorted. Now it just practicing wedding cake making and starting to get all of my little bits made (i.e. table centers, button holes, bouquets etc).
How is everyone else's planning going? I'm sure there is something important I am forgetting to plan. I can't help worrying that I will turn up on the day and there will be something hugely important that has just been forgotten. lol.0 -
Hi everyone,
I'm a long time lurker and I think we have set a date for 25th January. Ladies getting married on the 26th - thats my 40th birthday.
I'm hoping to make as much as possibly myself so hopefully you lovely ladies will give me some feedback if I post photo's.
I'm in the north-east and have a venue in mind, just need to get the cash together for the deposit.
How is everyone else coming along with their plans?
BexsmumNow Mrs! Still mum though....Holiday 2013January - DubaiAugust - Disney World & New York0 -
Hey Bexsmum, I am so excited about the wedding it is unbelievable. I am too making as much as is humanly possible myself. So far I have done my save the dates (well my fiance designed and printed them :A), my center pieces, my bouquet and my sisters (bridesmaid) bouquet and am about to start on my buttonaires. It is definitely a lot cheaper making things yourself and hopefully it will give my wedding a personal touch. Fingers crossed lol.
What are you planning on making?0
