Work Programme

Hello members, Can someone kindly tell me how someone would have to remain off of DWP benefits to not have to return to the Work Programme? If for example, someone signed off for say 3 months and then started a new claim, would they then be forced to re-join the work programme? Cheers

The clock ticks whilst you are in work, so if you attend the work programme, get work after 20 weeks then this work ends after 26 weeks you would go back for the balance of 6 weeks.
