My husband has agreed, but I have been taking anti-depressants which I am having to change to different type so stopped taking this week. Don't want to start new sort, does anyone know how long you have to be off them before I can start trying for a baby.now mum of 4!!!0

What were you taking??? It's really best to discuss your options etc with your GP/Psychiatrist (if you have one??) Some anti-depressants are 'safer' in pregnancy than others!! You may also need to weigh up the pros/cons of continuing medication..ie, will you become so depressed that you may not be able to cope with your other children/the difficulties of pregnancy...or do you feel you'll do ok without meds?? I'd ALWAYS advise you speak to your Dr before making any decisions! (I'm a Community Psychiatric Nurse by the way....well, currently off work on maternity leave!)

Was taking Fluoxetine, but have got an appointment in 2 weeks so will take advice then. Thanks for your advice.now mum of 4!!!0
