Things to do in Scarborough?

Going to Scarborough next Monday to Wednesday. Taking my Mum and my two boys age 4 and 2. I've printed off vouchers for Sealife Centre for 2 4 1. Any other ideas that are not expensive and are good for the little uns? I will not have my car as i am going with FREE train tickets as posted on here. I also think i've got a really good deal on acommodation but we have no cooking facilities. Where can we eat that is reasonably priced but nice and family friendly?
Thanks in advance

Hiya, I don't know too much about Scarborough, but I visited for the day 2 years ago. If the weathers not so bad you could take them to a place called Kinderland (I think I've remembered it right!) its a big outdoor kids park, but its a really good one-my two kids loved it and were the same age as your 2 at the time. Theres also Peasmarsh park, which is lovely too, it has a big boating lake and is very nice for a stroll through...my memory isnt up to much (I blame the kids!) somebody else may be able to describe the places better or they may have websites which will show you more detail! Both places are free though!

Just been having a look for you and unfortunately kinderland is closed for the winter! It doesnt open until 31st march. The park is peasholm-not peasmarsh as i said earlier! I found this link which has a few pics http://www.metroleisure.co.uk/peasholm.htm
Good luck Mrskaz.xx0 -

I live in Scarborough and if you require a swim there is the indoor pool which is situated on a hill about 150 yards from North Bay.If you want somewhere to eat I would recommend the Scalby Manor Pub(Brewers Fayre) about 1 mile out of Scarborough on the Whitby road(just over the bridge).Got a kids ball pool etc- very kid friendly and reasonably priced meals.Plenty of amusement arcades on the front at South Bay.Futurist Cinema on the front at South Bay shows good films.Hope this helps0

My OH buys the Sunday Times travel magazine every month and the other day he read out to me a piece about fish and chips in the UK which mentioned a place in Scarborough. Just had a look in the mag and it's the Golden Grid (4 Sandside 01723 360922 ). Cod and chips are £4.75 and the fish is fried in traditional beef dripping. Might be worth a try :undecidedSame old same old since 20080
