Most light traffic inspection covers are very lightweight and easy to lift. Where's your sense of curiosity, lift one and have a look.

Most people's sense of curiosity fades away the closer it brings them to sewage...

As for the toilet, watch out for the type of loo paper you flush down it. Some brands (puppies come to mind) are just a little too strong and don't break down in to soupy fibres, no matter how long they're in water. They can build up easily in drains. Put a sheet of your paper in a bowl of water, if it's still a sheet the next day, change brand!

Wet wipes and cleaning wipes, no matter how much they insist they're flushable are basically not a good idea as they too don't break down in water. If one catches in the drain on a pipe joint or stray tree root, it's probably there to stay.
