I then went into town and asked at my local Card Factory shop about buying old range giftbags cheap and she is going to see Area manager about giving old ones free! I explained what i wanted them for.
I was on a winning streak at this point and went into Boots, approached a No7 SA and explained what i was doing and asked if it was possible to get any out of range stuff cheap/free? Thought it would do the woman the world of good and hopefully boost esteem and all that jazz. She said that she would try and help! i have to supply a letter but she seemed very positive.
Very good day!

I had to spend time in a refuge many years ago, and once the bruises wore off and i could chuck out the very heavy foundation and red lipstick that hid the majority of the bruising, some new make up would have been lovely. So i applaud you and anyone else who does this.:T

Also a MASSIVE thank you to the person who said they donated some of their boots stuff to their local women's refuge. I was going to do this too and then had another thought - I book hotel accommodation for a lot of my colleagues and have now asked them all to bring back the freebie toiletries they get and take them down.
Spoke to my local women's refuge in Glasgow and they are thrilled! So I will be taking Boots goodies Monday and the rest as they come in!
It was me - thanks for your lovely comments! I find it rude not to relieve Boots of almost anything they've on daft offers, and there are plenty of folk who find themselves in less fortunate times.
Given that Boots is originally from Nottingham as I recall, do you feel a sense of Robin Hood comes around?

I do exactly the same. My brain gets all confused if I go to Boots without a list, and I end up buying things at full price with no extra points. :rotfl:0 -
I open up a word document, then I copy and paste all the useful posts into that, and before i leave for lunch or end of the day i print that. Used to have about 5 post it notes worth of garbled scribbles hehe:rotfl:0
