has anyone tried the charcoal mask with the 3.00 skin voucher

I tried it with 2 charcoal masks = £3.58 and handed the voucher over. It didnt work but the SA went off and said she would check with the Manager. She came back and said it should work and removed the £3.00 so I paid 58p. She then said that there was a voucher in the AC machine for Santury stuff but it had a notice on it saying out of order as it was playing up! She took off with my Advantage card and got a voucher out of the machine for me for 200 points and put that through for me!!! WOW! 58p + 200points - that means £1.42 to take them away. I thanked her perfusely and did a quick exit.

So, I dont think they should work but if you get a VERY nice SA who knows?

YESSSS!!!! It worked iam now the proud owner of 2 Sanctuary bags and 2 handwash & 2 instant hydrating toners for the grand total of 80p:D
There was no lady but a big pile of vouchers just sitting in the middle of display, i left loads so hope another MSE finds them!!

My AC cards would only let me print 5 vouchers for the 150 points, a week i guess...so i decided to get the
    Gentle cream Exfoliator £7.95
    Used the £5.00 leaflet voucher
Used the £3.00 Voucher from Mag
Total = They owe me 5p

I took 7 mags and ripped out the vouchers and 7 leaflet vouchers went to the till with 7 of the Cream exfoliators, very nice sa happly put through in seprate transactions even called manager who said yes its ok to give me the 40p:D

Well done Juliepink26:T I would love to try this myself, but I don't have the 5.00 leaflet voucher. Went to 5 London stores today - none of them had the vouchers. Where did you see the pile of vouchers?

    Just checked my receipt.

Bought No7 Hydroquench night cream £16.00
Used No. 7 £5.00 voucher + 250 points coupon from wrap.
    to pay £11.00.

Also got shampoo £2.98, total to pay £13.98.

extra points 250 on receipt earned points 11!!!

    very confused:confused:

    re ac points

I know today was triple points so was checking receipts as i got them (and was using extra points vouchers) and in 6 transactions if I hadnt spent £15 then no points went on (3 stores in south east)
eg spent £6 should normally get 24pts got nothing
first store manager was sent for and added them (begrudgingly) and said their tills were playing up.(lovely sa though-crabby manager)

next store -same happened £10-40points but got nothing.

excuse1. "oh its because youve used an extra points voucher"
My reply"and what exactly do you think extra means-ie more/on top of what is usual"

excuse2. "Our tills have been playing up"
    Me"add the points please"

    store 3 -same thing

In all cases all the extra voucher points had gone on but totals only included these no normal shopping points.
    In 1 case £6 spend=6 points!!

might be just these stores-but its a coincidence that its happened when triple points offer is on-and could all those tills in all those stores have been having a day off?

There could possibly be 2 other reasons
    1. I have some strange internal magnetic force that distrupts all machinery

    2. Boots tills have recently been serviced and they got the machine oil mixed up with Tesco unleaded!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Check your receipts!!!!

A girl had a mini table and was giving out mini tubes to people... I walked past her 5 times, then physically had to ask her about sanctuary before she got the hitn I was interested! No sample, but a voucher :)

Anyone know if Drakehouse, Crystal Peaks or Meadowhall have new magazines in?
Got 2 x £7.50 face serum (suncare) BOGOF and wrap for £2.50 (using No.7 £5voucher) a few times last week. Also Sanctuary bag with Body Wash, but wish I'd waited for new mag voucher!!

In response to people asking if Boots tills are playing up - they have CHANGED THEIR POLICY on points awarding.

For weeks now if I have used a bonus or extra points coupon then the UNDERLYING transaction for that item does not earn points.

So if you buy something for £3 you would normally get 12 points. However if you have used, say, a 100 point coupon, then this over rides the 12 points and you just get the 100 instead. Previously you would get 112.

This is only a recent change but it will be national and I do not think they are going to reverse it.

We had nearly 10 years of the old system so I guess we will just have to accept the new system with good grace.

I know I bore people with saying don't milk the stores TOO MUCH but the above change has probably come about because the bean counters have mentioned Boots are giving away TOO MANY POINTS

What worries me is that the same bean counters may say they are giving away too many vouchers - particularly with the complaints they cause - and the good times will be well and truly over.

Hastening this on would be the people who get things FREE and then take them back for full price refunds - you will go to the well too often and ruin it for the rest of us. Boots are not as stupid as some MSErs think.
