I am getting so confused on which mobile to get for my 1st contract:

Sony Ericsson arc s 100 mins, 500 texts, 500mb - £21.50 a month, 15 months 1/2 line rental by redemption plus quidco cashback of £30 from Buymobiles.net - total per month £13.53

Sony Ericsson arc s 300 mins, unlimited texts, 500mb - £32 a month, 11 months free line rental by redemption plus quidco cashback of 30 from buymobiles.net - total per month £16.08

Samsung galaxy s2 200 mins, unlimited texts, 500mb - £21.50 a month plus quidco cashback of £50, from phones for u - total per month £19.41

Can anyone advise me, i do not chat much on the phone mainly use my mobile for internet and texting. So many deals out there not sure where to go.

Well, assuming that you have clear understanding of redempion deals (including the risks and pitfalls), then if you "do not chat much" only you can decide if it is worth paying extra £2.50ish p.m. for extra 200 minutes that you possibly even don't need.

I think in terms of specs SGS 2 is better than Arc except the screen resolution:

Only you know what you like more and if it is worth paying extra £3-£6 p.m. for the difference and extra minutes.

Dial a phone have some good deals:
Arc S 100mins, unlimited texts, 500mb £20.50 per month, with 7 months free, so £14.52 after redemption. After quidco which is £50 cashback, then £12.50 ish.

Or if you would like to avoid redemption which is a pain to be honest, Dial A phone, again, Arc S, on o2, 100 mins, 500 texts, 500mb, is £21.50 per month but they give you a cheque for £110 (automatic cashback), no redemption required after 28 days, which makes the monthly cost £16.92, and then £15ish after you get the quidco £50 too. I would go for this! Arc S is a really nice phone. Saying that, the S2 is better and is only £20 per month at Tesco I think, which is a really good deal too. I would personally avoid buymobiles, don't like their terms and conditions.

I have to admit i do like the feel of the Arc, yes i understand it is not as good as the s2, thinking 2 years down the line would the arc be outdated and slow compared to the s2. Not so keen on the dial a phone deals as their arc modals are white, i do not like the white version i like the black casing. Also i would like to stick with o2 as i like this network. Tesco if i am right is T Mobile? Now redemption, i understand it to be after so many months you have to send bills in to get your money back and pay your line rental on time. It is hard to say if 100 minutes is right, all i can say at the moment is that yes 100 mins is ample, but will things change and i need more talk time in the future, who knows. 2 years is a long time.
