Strange spreading scratches on stove glass

My thoughts are, stress like cracks, didn't give a thought to corrosive gases contributing?

In what way will pet coke shorten a stove's life or how?0

This stove has only been operational for a month now, during that time i burned a number of "smokeless coal for closed fires" as described by the company. Such fuel includes standard anthracite, anthracite aga, anthracite esse, ecobrite and stoveglow. Recently ive been using mostly stoveglow as this gives out the best heat. Its hard to if if one or any of these is causing this.0

I very much doubt if it has anything at all to do with phantom gasses. More likely it is due to heat in excess of the glass's specification.
Solid fuel gives off a great deal more heat than wood, which explains why stoves using smokeless fuel seem to be the ones suffering.
A bit of digging around might reveal a problem with current glass quality.0 -
Dunsley say on their instructions that the glass may show signs of slight crazing. This is not a fault it will not affect performance or increase risk of breakage. The glass is in fact a tough transparent ceramic.

Translated - glass not under warranty when it breaks... And it will right down the middle splitting it into two clean pieces0 -
Do you use a thermometer on the stove?
Have to say we have had 4 customers with 904 liners deteriorate in the last 18 month, well within their warranties due to smokeless fuels being used on stoves. The manufacturers of linings are currently urgently looking into the problems being caused by certain fuels.0 -
I dont use a thermometer0
