not heared so much problems with the airbag lights coming on in those, just ABS sensors fail and are stupidly priced maindealer part from fiat for the rear ones.

Just to let people know:
I recently inherited a Volvo S40 from family. IT's a good car, but it had it's SRS "airbag" light on. looking back through old MOT's, this light had been on for SIX years!
Anyway, I asked for help on a Volvo Owners Club Forum, and a kind soul with a "Eutel Maxidiag 702" diagnositics device offered to help.
Drove to his, plugged the computer in, read the code "Central Locking Fault". Cleared it, and the light was out, and has now stayed out for a week.
So, There ARE ways to fix these problems for free or very little. It is, however, very frustrating that a central locking fault can now cost you a car - someone with a little bit less knowledge could easily be duped into scrapping their perfectly good car for want of a few minutes research.
So, don't give up hope! Get those faults read and find ways to sort them cheaply or for free!0 -
Sounds like a good result and the Autel is a handy bit of kit. It may have set off the warning light by having the seat moved at some time, a low or disconnected battery or a host of other daft things. Beware though that some warning lights only come on when the car has run a set distance or a procedure has cycled through a prescribed number of times and the system isn't happy with the result.0

newer fiats are better in my experience, owned this one for 7 and a half years, fiancee has owned an 06 grande punto and that seems fine too. looking at a jap car next time round for me, i'm used to them as in my family we had about half a dozen (before my parents decided to go back to ford, they now have a 2004 focus and a 2011 fiesta)Who remembers when X Factor was just Roman suncream?0
