Unable to see available networks

I'm not sure if this should be here, or on the techie board.
Internet on my laptop had been working ok since changing to a new isp.
As part of this process, I found that the driver to my internal wireless card had been deleated...not sure how that happened, but that's another story.
But, I could connect fine with an ethernet cable...till yesterday.
I have tried 2 cables, same problem.
The laptop, with cable connected, isn't able to see any available networks. I can't access the router homepage or anything. Other computers / smartphones can all connect ok.
Any suggestions? Please

The ethernet card in the laptop also needs a driver, has that now been deleted.0

Reinstall the drivers via Device Manager.No free lunch, and no free laptop
