second hand shoes and boots

I buy all my boots and shoes from car boot sales or charity shops. I only wear flatties and don't go anywhere posh, and do a lot of walking. I would rather someone else have the pain of breaking in a brand new pair, then when they give up I am happy to pay a couple of quid for them.

IlonaI love skip diving.

I got a pair of New Rock boots for £17.50 off Ebay not long back, including the postage (and they're very heavy!) and I have to say, they're the comfiest boots I've ever worn in my life! They also retail at £120 brand new and most 2nd hand pairs go for about £40 so they were a real bargain. Plus, as my feet stopped growing quite a while back and these boots are very hard wearing, I know I'll get years of use out of them. I've never had any trouble with them at all but maybe I just got lucky. So yes, I have no problem with 2nd hand boots at all.
