Miffy how dreadfully sad for you and your family, I hope someone is there to look after you. Miffy: You poor love. Even if you've been expecting it, it doesn't lessen the shock. Take comfort from the fact that your Mum is now safe and has no more pain. What a good thing that you went to see her when you did. Hugs to your DB as well, he must be feeling it terribly.
Frugal: welcome and good luck with the house. Baby steps and all that.
Sunflower: So sorry that you are in such pain. There are so many back problems around you can't help but wonder if there is a design fault somewhere.
Have spent today sorting out the 'food bank' cupboard at church. Not the official food bank but our own stuff that we supply to anyone who needs it. Then went to the cash and carry where I not only repaired any gaps in the food bank but managed to get 5litres of white vinegar for £3.49. Very pleased with that as I get through so much of it.
Jacket Potatoes tonight with salad and cheese. One of my favourites.I believe that friends are quiet angels

evening!
Just got in from work - took 2 hours toil as it was quiet there and I'd rather spend the time at home with DH.
Tonight we're having our first ever home grown baby leeks for tea - in cheese sauce and breadcrumbs and cheese sprinkled on top:)
Have had a quick tidy round and put the WM on.

Thank-you for all your good wishes being looked after by my menfolk. My DD is away at Uni but we have spoken on the phone and will talk to my sisters later.

Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.
