Virgin Media - Can I Cancel Contract

Good evening all, we currently live in a 2 bed council house, and recieve the basic phone,tv and broadband package from virgin.

My question is we are moving to a block of flats (just 6) and its ground floor with its own private garden (new build) so didnt say no.

My issue is virgin can not supply a service to my new property, so will i just be able to leave them?

I'm not sure why you'd prefer a flat to a house though.

yeah my parents said the same thing, our house is old and needs updating, the flat we have been offered is a new build, and the rooms are actually the same size as our house, so only thing we really loose is the stairs. But its really nice, pation doors, power shower ect... things we will never get here lol

Well i shall be on the phone to them tomorrow, but i allways loose my temper with them, because they never listen.

what you have to remember is to stay calm, they dont have to let you out of the contract. bt for sure wouldnt

thanks for the tip, but im sure its down to them to provide the service im paying for, one other thing to note is i got sent 2 copies of a contract to sign and return to virginmedia, i never did this, still sat here on my desk, would that help?

they can,at the house you chose to take the services at
as for the contract,given you have been using and paying for the services..........

This has been covered in endless posts...
VM contracted to supply you at the current address, not anywhere else, and they don't cover much of the country. If you choose to move to a non-cable area then you will have to pay an ETC on al the services still in their minimum term. You can move the phone and broadband over to Virgin National to avoid some of this, but obviously not the TV service. And if you do that you will be in a new 12m contract for those services.
Whether you have signed the paperwork or not is irrelevant, as you have accepted the terms by using the service and paying for it-therefore a contract exists. A contract is not a piece of paper, it's a legally binding agreement, whether written or verbal.
You haven't actually said if you are still in minimum term or not though?

You'll probably have to pay the remaining term in one lump sum. Or keep paying it each month.
