Flashing at speed camera vans today
Options
Trundling home today (Sunday) I was flashed by a number of cars. I soon found the expected van ahead, it was facing the other way so was really there for cars in the other direction, cars in my direction would likely have seen it before passing.
Anyway returning the favour to the 1st car in the other direction, a quick flash, but then realised this car was a volvo traffic cop! :rotfl:

I doubt very much if anything will happen, I see police officers walking and driving past people breaking the law all the time and have yet to see them take any action. Unless they are assigned on a specific duty you will find they can't be faffed with the hassle.
I used to warn other drivers about speed cameras but I feel differently after I heard a loud then then went outside to find a woman and child in the road the child was thrown quite a distance from the mother and her head was caved in, from the sound of the impact there was no way the driver was going at any where near 30. So my feelings now have completely changed and if you get caught speeding in a residential area tough!0 -

I was just thinking about that myself. I certainly wouldn't bother flashing other motorists, there are so many prats on the road these days I'm more than happy for the fuzz to filter them out.
If people didn't keep breaking the rules with their "It doesn't apply to me, I'm a wonderful driver who can brake in milliseconds" attitude then there would be no need for this.
Weirdly the worst for breaking the rules of the road are cops and ex cops. No idea how the hell they think they can justify it and then preach the highway code to others.0 -

Didn't I see somewhere that someone got away with something like this as they were helping stop a criminal offence from occurring ? So it was a civic dutyExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
How do you know ex cops are breaking the rules?0
