Looking for help please.
I want to do wedding cake for a friend. Im not good enough to make my own so I want to buy a couple of those ready made ones which just need decorating.
Ive seen them in the supermarkets but have only seen one size. I really need to get two, one larger than the other.
Does anyone know of any they could recommend.

Personally I wouldn't be buying a friends wedding cake from a supermarket.0

Tesco do different sizes, as do Marks & Spencer.0

Marks and Spencer do them in a few different sizes I think.
I think its very sensible not to spend a fortune on something that just gets eaten!0 -

Actually, it was her suggestion, she was going to do that anyway as funds are very tight and its only a very small afternoon do.
But hey! thanks for the comment0 -

I would recommend the Marks and Spencer celebration cakes, I've used their fruit cakes, with extra decoration, on a couple of occasions. Everyone seemed to like the cake and it was all eaten!0

you can either just stand one on the other or hire a cake stand to put them onto (which is cheap!).

The M&S decorated sponges are good as well as the fruit ones0

Another vote for M&S. Our friends had a three tier M&S chocolate cake at their wedding and it was lovely.
Be careful if you're stacking them, you absolutely must use dowelling or they will collapse. Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise! It's very easy, M&S have a video on their website showing you how to do it.

(I hope that works but if not, just google "stacking wedding cakes" or similar on Youtube.)0
