Maybe I made a mistake by not looking this up. But the parking attendent explained this was my way out of it.
I went to a complex (where there was mcdonalds e.t.c) to get food, but this complex has no where to widthdraw cash, I unknowingly "left" the complex to widthdraw money to use the services, upon returning I had a parking ticket saying I was not allowed to leave the complex and I am regarded as no longer a customer once I leave the complex, which is why I got the fine.
I chased down the attendent and explained this to them, they asked about my food reciepts. Which I have (somewhere) which prooved I was getting food at the time the parking ticket was issued.
I emailed them explained all this and they basically said, "you have stated you left the complex and there are clearly marked signs telling you they will issue a ticket to anyone who does".
Have I shot myself in the foot here?
I do realise that most people have just ignored this and its gone away.
What do I do from here? Its the second letter after I attempted an appeal.
Thanks guys.

It's got sod all to do with them whether you left the complex, you are a paying a customer in the said complex, so there is no loss to the retailers at all. I presume this is a free car park, so any loss would be made up from that free to park so there cannot be a loss. So it's a penalty something that private companies cannot issue unless acting for a council.
So you have just learned something here, with excel and all private parking companies there is no real appeal, why would they turn down money in their in house appeal ? So your course of action is to ignore excel, their agents and their demands for money, it's basically a scam to get your money, please read the sticky threads, watch the videos from watchdog and educate yourself about this scam.
And finally don't pay them, and don't communicate further with them at all, there is nothing further to do unless signed and stamped court papers arrive, you have more chance of winning the lotto jackpot than that happening.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Obviously ignore it!! Please read more about this scam:

Once you have seen the preview of the letters to expect and ignore, and when you have seen the Watchdog clip on another top thread by Crabman, you WILL be certain about it I am sure. Read the 'stickies' (info threads at the top, but not Park Right as that one's irrelevant) and then read on down the thread lst, click on ANY other threads you like.
You will see the word ignore is the common answer. It's not a fine , it's NOTHING.
Of course you can ignore them now, and yes the question 'can I still ignore them even though I have already ''appealed''? (;)LOL @ 'appealed'...:D) is asked a lot. I just searched the sub-forum for keywords 'already appealed' and most of these results will no doubt include your question:

Ignore them completely from now on. But do read up on the scam and watch the Watchdog clip if you've not seen that already, and get a preview of the letters to come. They really are easy to ignore when you can just play snap with them.
HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You have had a flyer put on the Window:
That flyer is an "invitation" to pay a invoice.
You can reject the invitation, keep your money and completely IGNORE them.
They can do very little about it other than send silly letters.
This is a SCAM that impersonates authority
You will get all sorts of fake letters claiming to be debt collectors, solicitors and all sorts of trash, all fake, to go with the fake parking ticket they gave you.
Amounts will increase as will the threats from the bully and they will offer brow mopping reductions to help you make it all go away, which it never does
There is no appeal, anything you do to contact them will result in more harassment.
They can only sue for losses incurred, not occurred, the loss in a free car park is ZERO anything else is a penalty and penalties without act of instrument (law) are illegal so they can not sue for a penalty.
IGNORE - Stay Ignoring-
Now the hard bit learning what IGNORE means and how to do it
Be warned, if you pay, they will come back for more money in late payment charges.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Ignore the PPC and in future ignore the retail park, and tell your friends, family & work colleges to do the same.
The most the landowner can sue for you is zero, as the car-park was free.0 -
PPCs are the scum of the earth and pray on innocent jo bloggs that believe they are for real just like council/police parking fines! JUST IGNORE and aggrovate the scum as much as possible:DPPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue. :eek:0

This brings memories of my very first experiences with PPC tickets from 2008 onward. Even before I learned these laws which protect the citizen, I felt confident that Waitrose Cirencester (Gloucestershire) would not get me with their "PCN". I had bought products from the store and had returned to my vehicle within the two-hour limit but was surprised to find the notice attached to the windscreen. Yes it appears the sleazy officer had watched me leave the car, exit the store, place the goods in the boot, and "leave car park" for which the ticket was issued. I had my receipt and as keeping it as proof in the event of comebacks, I certainly never appealed though (remember this is before I discovered the facts that most of us know now).
I was then thinking, what a complete creten! How did he know I never dropped my wife off a minute or so before I entered the facility so that she could start shopping while I sought a space, how did he know that there was not an individual in that store that for whose purpose my vehicle was parked? This is pretty much the case in all these scenarios. My advice remains though, ignore Excel - their demand is WHOLLY illegal and you have nothing to worry about.0 -
excell=scum of the earth,,you will now recieve further threat o grams from them,,then roxburghe debt collectors=next desk along,no powers,,,then graham (i am a phoney solicior) white,,next desk past roxburghe,, total scam ignore these clowns ,do not contact or engage in any communication, nothing will/can happen to you.i have a drawer full of loo paper from this lot, and i wish like 1000s of others on here they would take me to court, but they wont because, we know and they know and now you know, they would lose.relax and dont worry.0
