Cost of a new central heating system

Hi all Central heating experts..

We have moved to our new house yesterday, and it is COLD..very cold..indeed.

The house has an old 'Halstead' boiler which seems to be trying its best, but it just is not good enough. The radiators seem to be old and need replacing.

I have looked at previous posts, but would like your expert advice on the best boiler to choose for the below requirements, and approximate costs that I should expect to pay for a new system..

1. A new boiler which will also work when we extend into our loft in 3 years time.
2. 10-12 radiators
3.devices to make efficient use of central heating - program timing, control temperature, zone control etc.

I live in Birmingham, so any MSE heating engineers would like to provide a quote, I would be ever so grateful.

Best wishes,

ps - with 2 young children, we need this done ASAP

Which model of the Halstead do you currently have? Your definition of old may be different to others definition of old.

Hi...best advice... after ascertaining whether your current system is beyond economical repair, get in RGIs recommended to you by a source you trust in to conduct a site survey and discuss your requirements. More advice from Gas Safe Register
and the Heating & Hotwater Industry Council.
