I'd had 14"/15" monitors all my life until i built my own PC. I wanted the biggest monitor i could fit on my worktop, which was a 22". I would've bought about a 23" or 24" if i could've. Any more would've been too much imo.
I've got an LG Flatron M227WDP which i'm very happy with. Quality is good. Full HD Monitor/TV. Bought from eBuyer a couple year ago.

I have mainly 22" screens, but have a dual screen 22" and 17" in my home office, and a 42" at work (ok, that is in our board room .... )0

Dual 24" monitors, I doubt I would go any larger or smaller at the minute, I run a fair few apps which require (well make life a hell of a lot easier) having a decent size screen.0
