Capital One Android Banking App Blocks Rooted Phones!

Title is very misleading - the app doesn't block rooted phones - the app doesn't work on rooted phones - outside of the app the phone still works.
...if you got ripped off by unauthorised code in a ROM you would be a little upset...this is just an app, from a company protecting itself from exposure to that risk.0 -
can someone tell me what a rooted phone is??? I am currently in the process of getting a contract mobile, will I be able to use this on my new phone, as I use Capital One?
Thanks0 -

How is the title misleading? Capital One blocks their app from working on rooted phones, in what absurd universe would an app which you download from the market stop you from accessing your phone?:o
and I see you point about unauthorised code but as another response points out the website version still works fine on rooted phones;)0 -

When it should beCapital One Android Banking App is blocked on rooted phones
e.g. the app is blocked not the phone. The way it reads now implies the app blocks the entire phone...0 -
Make sure you leave appropriate feedback on the Android market. If enough people do this (it is public and a reflection on the company) they may change their policy. If not it's a good way to vent anyway0
